I think crom the conquerer is WAY underpiced...
a chaos lord is 210 pts
crom is 230 pts
crom has an extra weapon skill, he may take additional attacks for wounds when using sword and axe and he nullifies weapons with his sheild if he choses to use it.
he has sooo many advantages over a chaos lord for only 20 more points.
he has disadvantages aswell but he is still a little underpriced...
dont forget that if yuo take crom then any unit wiht a mark becomes special or rare if htey are chosen. Normal Chaos Lords also have versility being able to choose their equipment. Finally Crom is on foot and against a good opponent will never reach melee.
I don't mind him not going to melee, but he is a great way to get a chaos lord's leadership.Originally Posted by D1storter
The most obvious downside to crom is is lack of ward save. Cannonballs & Stone Throwers, Wardancers, Grave guard, they all can make him miserable.
Underpirced ? No. Unusual ? Yes.
Just like Borgut Facebeater, he's part of a new generation of low cost low magic special characters. He may look cheap, but his lack of options and any form of magical protection makes for a fragile general.
which army book has his stats? my hordes of chaos book doesnt
