Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm playing an upcoming game of 3,000 points using Hordes of Chaos, and I dont really want a Bloodthirster to be my general because, well, I dont have any deamon models. I was wondering if fielding a bloodthirster in a 3,000 point game as a second lord choice would be a bad idea?
A Bloodthirster would actually be a good choice in a 3K point game but as a second general I am not so sure.
On his own I would definately consider it as I am considering the same thing for my 3K Khorne Daemonic Legion list. Supported by maybe an Exalted Daemon or some Daemonic Heralds he is a great character hunter.
As a second general though I would be wary. He is already around 650 points and with another tooled out lord nearly a third of your force could be concentrated into two models.
Also the Bloodthirster would make a crappy second general as he answers to NO-ONE!!!!! Mwahahaha :realmad:!!!

You can't use a Bloodthirster in a Mortal army without taking a Lord too. I'd only really agree with it if you had a Bloodthirter and a modestly equipped Lord as your only character choices. Otherwise, you're spending to much on to few bodies.
