Here's a question for you...
If a Lord of Chaos automatically has Chaos Armour (4+ save), and you add say, Armour of Tortured Souls, which is "treated as Chaos Armour." Does this mean that the Lord now has a 3+ armour save?! Or does he still have 4+?!
What if he's mounted?! Does he get an additional +1 to his save as per the BRB, plus another +1 for barded steed for a total armour save of 1+?!
Another question: If you have a unit of warriors with an additional hand weapon, can you still add the shield (1 point/model)?! The reason I ask, is that in the kit, you have shields with arms attached to it, and I'm thinking, "Okay, is it one or the other?! Or can I do both?!"
To your first question, the Lord still has a 4+ save when given magic chaos armour, such as armour of tortured souls (simply because it is nothing more than an enchanted suit of chaos armour - same basic save).
When mounted, yes he gets those bonuses, so with chaos armour, mounted on a barded steed and with a shield he will have a 1+ save (the same as chosen chaos knights)
As for the additional hand weapons, I'm pretty sure you can give additional hand weapons and shields, but you may only use one or the other in each combat (two hand weapons or hand weapon and shield. Using the former means you will gain no armour bonuses in combat from your shield). However, I'm not sure how you would give that to the models - shields on their backs? I don't know really.
As they are listed in separate bullet points, you can give a model two hand weapons (or great weapon/halberd) and a shield. You just have to choose what you intend to use at the start of any combat.Originally Posted by Jimmy_boy
With regards to modelling, take a look at the bottom right of this pic - modelling the shields on their backs works pretty well, and only needs the shield arm clipped off.
Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.Originally Posted by amishcellphone
