Does anyone have any experience with the hellcannon? I don't have the SoC book (and not planning on buying it), so I don't know how good it is (heard about the S10 blast).
Personally I think it's a bit unfluffy, believing that chaos shouldn't shoot at all (apart from perhaps a throwing axe and some magic support). And with those stats .. c'mon we don't deserve the best cannon out there! (or is it the best?) :shifty:
Hmmmm, i am of two minds as to the 'fluffiness' of a hellcannon,
On one hand, it is artillery which is simply out of place in a chaos army,
HOWEVER, on the other hand, it is a possesed chunk of metal, capable of rampagin through friend and foe alike and shooting daemonic icor everywhere!! quite chaotic!!
Personally, i dont like to use them.
They just dont seem to 'fit' with me......its a personal thing of course.
Also, if (for example) i am playing a defensive, magical tzeentch army i would rather not have the niggling feeling that my hellcannon could, at any moment, break loose and charge my own troops to devastating effect.
Well, at least it would be safe from the usual warmachine hunters
Yes, the model looks quite nice, but apart from the cost of it there's another reason for me not to field it:
It takes up two rare unit slots. If I have to choose between 1 piece of artillery (which upon malfuncioning might wound ALL wizards on the table - and I too play Tzeentch  ) or four Chaos Spawns, I choose the latter.
