quick question for you folks
i am a 40k player who is looking to start a small chaos force but am a bit confused about what book to buy
i currently have
8 bloodletters of khorne
20 slaaneshi demonnettes
6 mounted demonettes of slaanesh
which i use in my undevided chaos list in 40k
SO, simple question is given there seems to be 2 books which book suits best?
if this is an obvious question i apologise in advance, i read through the getting started section and it didn't have a definite although one list seemed demons and one human?
I see my army as having a large unit of mounted chaos marauders harassing one flank mounted demonettes and an elite warrior knights unit on other, a large unit of marauders warriors in the centre and a smaller unit of warriors also in centre along with the bloodletters and big demonnettes unit
issue i know i may have is
1 - warhammer interpretation of ancient enemies rule?
2 - no capacity to have demons and the marauder units from same book (not sure on this)
anyway, to cut a long story short, i'm going to go tomorrow and buy one of the books, based on what i've said above which should i start with, thanks

You need the hordes of chaos book. It allows you to field mortals (marauders, chaos warriors, etc.) and daemons.
You can use more than 1 marked unit (like your various types of daemons) as long as your general has the mark of chaos undivided. You should also buy a basic rule book, and you should wait till 7th ed. is released wherever you live.
I think your large unit of marauder horsemen is a bad idea, cause they are fast cav, and don't get ranks (unless 7th edition changes this). So most of them won't be in combat, and won't contribute ranks to the fight either.
Arena of Death Champion: Nexim of the Guldskullz Tribe. Fear my wrath!
As kooshlord said, smaller units of horsemen is the way to go.
From the models you currently have, you could try to build a daemonic legion. This is quite unusual but could provide a lot of fun once finished. The only downside with this is it very expensive to buy only metal models (just as in 40K).
But if you've decided to use marauders .. go slaanesh to keep those slaaneshi daemons active. No waste of metal models here no!
thanks, i'm buying the new edition of the rules when it comes out on saturday
i'm familiar with the rules to an extent from playing some years ago but i will be researching the rules before making any desicions
i'll get the hoards book today and read up on the demons and the like, with the demons i already have its a start and although they are expensive i do love the models so will think about a demon army. Perhaps a mostly demon army with some elites thrown in if allowed.
thanks for the advice and i'll read the hoards book tonight and get back to you later
