Welcome to Librarium Online!
I have a 3000 point game coming up soon against some Dwarfs and as Dwarfs do, they have alot of cannons. I played dwarfs last week on a smaller scale with an entirely cavalry based army. I think i used 2 chariots and 4 squads of chaos knights with 1 being chosen. To say i gave the dwarfs a kicking was an understatement, but on a larger scale im sure they'll be alot tougher. So i want to go for speed so that the Dwarfs dont get that many rounds of shooting against me. I have the idea to take 2 big (somewhat expensive Lord Choices). I am definitely taking a lord on a dragon because he just gets so many attacks you cant say no really, and then it comes down to either a daemon prince or bloodthirster. Which do you think would be the most effective?

i'de go with a deamon prince, with a good amount of gifts to tool it up. and with that level of points i might even consiter taking a hellcannon if you have the model. besides a kick ass looking model. it also can realy mess with those tight hill hugging dorfs.
also dont forget the warhounds! i would suggest taking at least 15 or so. good cannon fodder... err screen.
For sure!! The hellcannon is excellent. You may even consider taking dome DoW cannons and throwing the artillery back in his face!!Code:i might even consiter taking a hellcannon if you have the model.
Points wise you would be much better investing in a daemon prince all tooled up.
Also, as was mentioned, you shouldnt leave home without those warhounds and/or furies. Quite simply, these guys are fodder! By utilising their fast movement you need to get them into combat with dwarven shooting units to tie them up until the chaos knights and warriors get there.
Standard dwarven warrior units arn't a problem in this way because they can be easily manouvred around.
