Chaos Dragon Mounted Tzeentch Lord
If I had to pick one, should I pick to use Archaon in my army or a Tzeentch Lord mounted on a Chaos Dragon with all the trimmings (both are roughly in the 800 pts range).
2 people voted for Archaon, can I have any reasons why you guys feel that way, because I was kind of leaning towards the lord on dragon, because then I can still field a hellcannon?
Ermm you need reason why you have to choose Archaon ? Well there is no particular reason why. It all depends your playing style for example you can abuse the Dragon with Lord plus Staff of change thing that almost all Tzeentch mortal army players do. A lord on a steed gives you a more straight forwards playing style compared with Dragon/Lord. Also if you choose to use the Dragon/Lord option you can use the Egrimm van Horstmann mini, even if its old its still a neat miniature.
MEAT IS MURDER
Yeah, thats what I planned to do. Its more than Galrauch, but that one is a horrible looking figure, plus it doesn't come with someone riding on it.
A good reason to take old Archie, is that for the points that you'll be dumping into that Dragon riding Tzneetch monstrocity, you might as well get a super cool Special Characer that will do much more for you...and a less of a point cost.
He's also about half the price .
How many points u gonna be fielding one of these in?
I'd go for Archaon, simply because fielding him would be much more cool than lord on dragon. Personally, I would field neither of them, but if I had to choose it would be Archaon.
So Sayeth Jimmy boy
One quick question, The Armour of Morkar gives Archaon a 1+ Armour save according to the book. Does that mean he has like a 0+ Armour save because he is mounted?
