I'm kind of new to hordes of chaos, so i was wondering if its worth giving marauders full command or just one of two of the options (chieftan, musican and standard bearer)
As i play with full command i was wondering if its actually worth it or could i save points by removing one or two of them
And is it worth putting a sorceror (with a mark) in the unit or are they better else where
Full command is where it's at. Musician is vital for any unit. Standard bearers are great on infantry units and so are champions.
Command units are always needed unless your army goes over like 1014pts in a 1000pt game, but main thing to do with units is to get those command units in always good in that little way
Oh and also just to talk about the sorceror in a marauders unit, i wouldent since there more likely to run away and get run down and if your sorceror is within that unit at the time hes going down with them so i would but them with a though chaos warrior unit if you are taking them.
also hes on a larger base so it would be more annoying to put him into the unit

BTW: they have the same base size (marauders, chaos warriors and characters)
I also think they are wasted in marauder units if you have a warrior unit which has no other character attached. But that being said, marauders are a pretty good plae for most characters, as it might boost Ld and/or boost there fighting power.

I would say it depends on what you are using the Marauders for. If you are planning to use the Marauders as a rank and file unit, then yes, a full command is essential, as it will help with combat resolution. I would also expect each of them to be equipped with light armour and a shield to aid their survivability.
If, however you are planning to use them in small groups, (maybe 10-15 strong), with flails as a shock flanking unit, then I would suggest that you only take a musician to help with any rallying you may have to do.
I hope this helps

Gingerninja has a valid point. But I hate small infantry units. I think HoC have a number of better options for the role of flanker Although I'm very new to HoC, having played only against them and not with them yet.
