I have extended my chaos collection and am now starting to play Daemonic Legions. I'm going to be starting Tzeentch. I'm trying to make a 2000 pt list, or within 2500. My brother has Daemonic Legion Slaanesh and I already have the Bel-Lakor model, so if I need to go higher, I can do Undivided.
I'm in need of advice however. I'm not sure what to run. What are the units I must take and the units I need to stay away from. What characters, should I take etc.? Strategies in using this army?
Anything would be helpful.
I've moved this thread to the generic Hordes of Chaos page, as it does not contain a list, but a general request for advice about Tzeentch Daemonic Legions.
As far as I know, the idea of a Tzeentch Daemonic Legion is to have an obscene number of casters from the horror unit champions, and to have bound spells from the horrors themselves. The daemons will be strictly inferior in close combat to other forms of daemons, but they'll have a ton of magic. It also has good marchblocking capacity, as it has more varietes of flyers than other daemons.
It does not have the obscene number of power dice that mortal/beast Tzeentch lists do, because there is no cheap way to generate them. You have to buy a min-unit size of horrors, and then upgrade one to a mage. Much more expensive than a mortal chariot with a Mark slapped on.
That's my basic thoughts about the list. I could be wrong about them, I've never played a daemonic legion, let alone a Tzeentch one. Hope it helps!
