Howdy everyone, I'm a 40k player and everyone I usually play with is starting fantasy so I'm thinking of going with a Khorne Mortals of Chaos army, I'd like to avoid using magic and prefer a melee army. I'll probably pick up the army book soon but could you all tell me if this is a good choice of an army for a non-magic+melee oriented player? If not, could you suggest some other armies that fit the description? Also, is this a widely played army? Many thanks in advance!

If you like melee and hate magic, khorne is an excellent way to go. Be careful though: khorne armies movement is easily controlled by your opponent if you don't screen your troops. Check out the rules for frenzy when you get the BRB.
Chaos doesn't have much in the way of shooting. If you want shooting as well as melee and anti-magic, dwarves would be a reasonable choice. Although they don't pack as much of a melee punch.
Arena of Death Champion: Nexim of the Guldskullz Tribe. Fear my wrath!
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!!! LET THE SOUTHERN SHEEP FEEL THE POWER OF... uh... *whisper* Whats this dudes chaos name? ... HE DOESNT HAVE ONE?!?!?! Dude, seriously, go take a trip to the gate of the gods, get a name from the gods, get looked at maybe, have a party perhaps, you'll be all good. Welcome!
Khorne are a pretty good (get ready for it) noob army. They for the most part are straight forward, but I have found in desperate need of magic, they only get 1 real ranged weapon and its at 2000 point and you will only ever have one. If you wanted all meele no magic you could either take upo dwarfs or orcs. They both pack punch in combat, though the orcs are better and they both have ranged support but the green skins are better. The orcs are a little bit more complicated however. The only downside to orcs is that they have weaker anti magic but you could buy a scroll caddy. You probly dont know that term it's a lvl one shaman probly a goblin with 2 despell scrolls.
Any ways If you look through the forums you will get a good feel of all 3 armys
