Just wanted to know, what are the pros and cons of fielding a Daemonic Legion army?
When life gives you anything, charge it with Genestealers.
Alarm clock? Genestealers.
Your boss? Genestealers.
The rednecks that cut in front of me at Wal-mart like I didn't have anything better to do than stand in line? Genestealers.
hmmm i think it wholly depends on the opponent...
i would NEVER use daemonic heroes against a shooting-based army, since 2 cannon shots on a prince may seriously throw him back in the warp, and the same goes for the exalted daemon (imagine also 2 batteries of handgunners or a volley of 8 jezzails). they are way too expensive and way too useless, compared to mortal chaos heroes.
daemonic units instead are worthy of their points, though not all of them.
the best in my opinion are nurgle ones, followed by mounted deamonettes, flamers units, bloodcrushers. i would dare not fielding a daemonic chariot...s7 hits are always gonna destroy it and 5+ ws is not an insurance for their enormous point cost.
to sum up: some very good units, some bad ones...all of them surely cost a lot of points, so use the legion only when facing a proportionate amount of models, and possibly not immune to fear.
(because, no matter what the troop stats say, statistic (and my experience) say that even a daemon prince can be beaten in cc by 12 handgunners and then fail its unmodified LD and vanish)
hope i helped
