I've just been reading the latest Mar-08 White Dwarf and it's great for all us Fantasy Battle lovers.

There's over 20 pages on a 3000pt battle report for Empire vs Vampire Counts.We're reclaiming some 40k space at last (hopefully !)

Shall i just assume the report is fixed so the new army wins as usual? Or will this one actually make for a good read? Still.. Go Fantasy!

Although being a fantasy release month its to be expected i guess.

Oh, yes, I will now use my amazing powers of prediction. I will first confirm that I have not seen or heard about the battle report, but I predict:

The Empire player will choose possibly the worst army you can make from the list and will make awful decisions in the game

The Vampire Counts player will choose a good army, play it well and win easily, thus convincing little Timmy that he needs to start a Vampire Counts army.

How did I do?

Or the VC player will play poorly, making bad decisions, but still win?? ;Y yay for marketing

I think it ended up being a draw or a minor victory to the VC, friends were talking about it at the club. I just know the Blood Knights were chewing up easy VP's because the Empire player kept throwing crap at them, it's like GW isn't even trying to make them look real anymore lol.

They probably read a few of the threads here, no doubt it was very positive towards VC

I was suprised by the outcome too, expecting a resounding victory for the VC. The Blood Knights destroyed a 5 man Knights Panther unit but then got spanked by some Empire Greatswords. The unit that came out smelling like roses was the Empires Flagellents.

Not a bad issues for WHFB fans, but I expect next months to be better as its the 25th anniversary special.
