How do you equip your Inquisitor?

Hey Witch Hunters players. I'm considering using an Allied Inquisitor in my Imperial Guard army and with the wealth of options in the DH and WH Codexii I'm feeling more than a little overwhelmed. Most players in the IG forum seem to agree that the best option is a DH Inquisitor with 2 x Mystics. Cheap and cheerful, but it won't win you any friends. What alternative does the WH Codex have? Since I'd like to theme my army a little more, I was wondering what all you players took for your Inquisitor + Retinue? More importantly, why?

DH inquisitor is generally better than a WH one, if you had to twist my arm...

Heavy bolter and plasma cannon servitors, 2 sages, 2 chirugeons, maybe a familiar or two for cheap wounds...

DH w/ 2 mystics much better

Only advantage with WH inquisitor is that if you get a landraider, then anyone can use it, wheras DH can only be used by the inquisitor, very annoying codex rule, this is pretty much the ONLY reason to have WH > DH inquisitor

I do take a WH inquisitor...for fun. Actually, it's been pretty effective, especially when you consider the huge points sink that it represents:

Inquisitor Lady with bolterstake crossbow, HOTW, Purgatus, PS, PH.

1x familiar

2x sage

2x sister hospitaler

2x plasma gunning guardsman

1x plasma cannon servitor

Chimera

Not cheap, but loads of fun, and it gets some plasma goodness and psychic defense in the list...

Oh, and I have found the powers to be effective. So far, HOTW has murdered two psycher battle squads outright on turn one, and I did manage to smack Eldrad upside the head with a healthy dose of purgatus once. That was a riot. Oh, sure, you get umpteen billion spells a turn, but LD7 makes a mockery of them, doesn't it?

If I had (more) points to waste, I'd throw in some tag-alongs as extra wounds...but with wound allocation rules, I can't automatically kill them first, so it's not really worthwhile. The last ablative wound wouldn't die until one of the sisters, one of the sages, and one of the guardsmen was dead...

WH inquistors can actually be very effective and better than DH inquistors imo if focus on the psychic power aspect of them.

How I would run my WH inquistor lord would be

Lord + pistol close combate weapon + psychic hood

Purgatus + Divnine Pronouncement + Scourging

retinue of 2 familiars

maybe some acolytes its points left over

Chimera + Multi laser.

Just keep inquisitor in the Chimera and use the psychic powers from the firing points which I believe there are 2.

In my opinion, any inquistor (DH or WH) is a precision instrument- how you equip it depends on what you want to do with it. The army lists allow to build a shooty inquisitor or an assault inquisitor, or a tank hunting inquisitor, so the question is, what does your army need?
