after doing al right in Sydney GT (6th! and i was hoping for middle of the pack!) i am thinking about entering the MOAB tourney with a similar list, see
http://www.librarium-online.com/foru...cyha-list.html (Sydney GT, Drcyha List)
but there are 2 key changes that have to happen. no Special charachters are allowed (by Drycha) and i get an extra 250 Points and I'm at a bit of a loss with what to do, charachter-wise.
quite a few people balked at the sight of 2 treeman in the one army, so i'm a bit hesitant to up one to an ancient, and i also found that i really would like some form of offensive magic to offset the lack of normal shooting (people clued in pretty quick to stay out of the woods)
the options as i see are 1. Branchwraith it up 2. Glamourweave 3. Wild rider Choppy dude
- edit - the question is, what should i spend my points on, espeacially in regardss to charachters, to create a fluffy, not to hard but competitve army
and to reiterate, here is the roughly 1630 Points of an army i already have
4 Tree Kin
6 Wild Riders, Full Command and war banner (modelled like dryads)
I would look at
1. branchwraith, level 1, CoR, AoN
2. Spellsinger, glamourweave, 2 dispel, elven steed.
3. Wildrider noble, hail of doom arrows.
This build gives you 5 DD and 2 dispel scrolls for good magic defence and a couple of good combat characters, if you were to have only 2 characters (my recommendation) I would go for the 2 spellcasters. Combined with the 2 treemen they give a fairly solid magic phase.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
I agree with Skars fully.
You need a spellsinger for the dispel scrolls. Magic is your biggest weakness and I see too many forest spirit armies w/o a singer.
I would even consider using a weaver for added protection.
i guess i'll hav to read up on the WE armouy too. the one game against another (fairly standard) WE army, i had no clue what the chracters were doing.
a weaver would be interesting, although would that be a bit too eggs in one basket-y? i don't think i would be able to protect her very well, considering she is mounted and can't join the skirmishing dryads., thouugh i spose all my charcters will be mounted in come way or another. mounting on an eagle would have been nice here...
after using drycha, magical defense seems sooooo expensive, would 4 dice be enough do you think?
just had a thought. what about using the orion model as a mounted choppy charachter?
i wonder if dogs of war arre allowed too, will check on that.
Not even close.would 4 dice be enough do you think?
You're looking at 5 dice and 2 scrolls for a min. magic defense.
I usually go 4 dice and 4 scrolls. It puts a hurt on magic heavy armies.
Considering that your army is fragile to enemy magic you need those dispel scrolls.
Well you can put the mage with wild riders or even the treekin if you needed to. Plus she can hide in a forest against most armies.
