Welcome to Librarium Online!
Ive been playing with several ideas at a WE army list for some time now. I hopefully think that i found one that is pretty balanced and fits into my pure Asrai themed army. Tell me what you think:
- Waywatcher Lord
- WE Noble
- 30 Glade Guard
- 59 Eternal Guard (x3 squads of 20 and 1 with WE noble)
18 Wardancers (x3 squads of 6 each with bladesinger)
15 Waywatchers (Waywatcher lord with 1 squad)
Im thinking of a battle line of eternal guard with gaps in between for GG to shoot advancing enemies. The squads of wardancers will probably be behind the eternal guard and will come out when the enemy is close or prevent flanking manouvers. The waywatchers will be heavy unit killers appearing out of no where to strike at them from a distance. Tell me what you think.
Nice idea. I like the idea of the list.
Couple of things.
Magic defence, a spellsinger would be a good idea.
Waywatcher Lords are not a great investment IMO, its one of the kindreds that is not really useful on a Lord/Noble.
Overall, a couple of nobles, a bsb and spellsinger would serve you better.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
Nice to see an Asrai list. Always makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
I like the idea of the list, though the BSB will help your Eternal Guard in the long run. With only one of these units being stubborn, the reroll will likely be useful.
As for the Waywatcher Highborn, it's a bit of a risk. No matter how you tool this guy out, he's fragile. If you want to use a Waywatcher character, I'd recommend swapping your choices - put the Noble with the waywatchers and the Highborn in the Eternal Guard. Having your fragile general start the game in the midst of your enemy seems dangerous, and doesn't really add much to the effectiveness of the Waywatchers.
Also, be cautious how much you rely on your Waywatchers to take down heavy units - Killing Blow only does so much, and never seems to work as often as we'd like.
I think some realignment of your characters could see this list being very effective. As Skars said, you'll need some magic defense. Aside from that, it's a fine list. Thanks for posting!
All in all the list wasn't a bad one it just needed some tweaking IMO. And all of the advice I have given you is purely my preference and playing style. Let us know how it works!

If anybody disagrees with me Chuck Norris will roundhouse kick you in the face.....not really. But wouldn't it be cool?
Your army is lacking a bit in the speed department, like churchic said, some glade riders would be a nice choice, and magic defense, other than that if your sticking with the theme not much else to do.
