Glade Guard x10
I plan on putting the noble with the EG. For a little background my 2 cousins just started
also and they are playing HE and DE so those are the armies i will be playing 90% of the time
thanks for the advice
Anywho, welcome to the Wood Elves!!
First off, I love Eternal Guard, but they are better served in games of at least 2000pts, in my opinion. So my first suggestion is to drop them. This you free you up some points for a Spellsinger with a Dispel Scroll or two, which will come in handy.
Next, I like your noble, but with that set up, he should definitely be an Alter Kindred. You'll find it much easier to get charges and to find good targets for the HoDA.
Id drop the Bowman on the Glade Guard. The extra BS isnt going to be that valuable. But other than that, their good.
I like the Wardancers, but I think they need more support, and definitely a musician. Drop your unit of Dryads down to 8 and try to add another unit of 8 in there. In 1000 points, Dryads rock.
Also, Glade Riders would be awesome to set up charges for your combat units. They may seem frail (and they are), but they have their uses.
And finally, if you have the points left over, consider making your Branchwraith a Level 1 Wizard. It may not mean much offensively, but it earns you an extra Dispel Dice, which is always nice.
Anywho, hope this helps.
the list is ok, could stand up to most fantasy armies, but if 90% of the time you are playing your cousins ( i wish i had relatives that cool) which play HE and DE, they will get wrecked. wood elves are extremely weak to magic, the only exceptions are wardancers and Wild riders. i would always bring a "spell cadie" ( lvl 1 wiz with 2 scrolls) or make a branchwraith a level one wizard and give it a sprite that gives it the extra dispell ( this is the best way to do it, but expensive) this will also add some punch to yout dryads. now since you have already done the branchwraith, ill give you my personal oppinion. drop the noble, and see if you can do this, add 3 tree kin in, then add more dryads or beef up the wardancers ( id go with wardancers). another great rick up We players sleeves at 1000 pts is the great eagle, a 50 pt eagle that will most likely die, but will likely kill a war machine, if not, can kill mages ( then die, so what) charge archers, and march block. it wont achieve much, but are a major pain in the arse of your opponent. also, you can make obnoxious Chwaaa sounds when it charges!!!! ( you didnt hear this from me)
