This is for the league that I will be playing in. It is an escalation league. There is a thread about making a 1K list in the Wood Elf forums. Here is what I have so far.
Give or take 200 points I am not sure on that to do now. I was thinking of taking an Alter with HoDA. Because of the chance of the massive damage it could do. As far as the magic front goes. I am not sure if I want to take a Spellsinger or Branchwraiths. I was also thinking of taking a great eagle. along wit ha troupe of wardancers. All advice is welcomed.
Why use science and education when ignorance and superstition will work just as well.
OK my first advice is: Too many GG. Having 40+ shots in a 1K list probably won't win you any friends. And you will most likely be unable to use them all each turn anyway.
I like the branchwraith at this point level over the spellsinger. Use cluster of radiants so if you meet a spell casting army you have some extra dispel ability, and for non magic armies, she is good in combat.
As for you special choice WD are always nice, but I would consider a unit of 3 or 4 TreeKin, whatever your points will allow. Their saves can really help you win a combat.
Thats my 2 cents, hope it helps a little.
