Welcome to wood elves, lets get on with the critique. I will just give you some general observations as each person plays differently and likes different units to emphasize their particular style.

500pts- Wizards aren't really necessary at this level. Get a noble dressed for combat or ranged as you prefer. Combat is usually better at this level. Eternal Guard aren't really that good at less than 15, 20 is better, and you don't have a noble to put in them to make them stubborn so they aren't being optimized for what they can do. At this point level dryads are a more efficient choice. And I would probably give up one unit of Archers for a unit of glade riders to have something that can get into combat also.

1000-Same as above for the spellsinger and eternal guard and getting some dryads and glade riders. Wardancers are nice but 1 unit would be plenty now. Get some variety, wild riders would be my choice.

2000- Highborn doesn't need to have both a great sword and Daith's Reaper, pick one or the other. As he will be with the EG, briarsheath won't help him. Get him some kind of ward save. The spellsinger needs a couple dispel scrolls. Alot of people (me included) don't like EG that much and two units is too much if you don't have two nobles to make them stubborn. Warbanner is probably the best on these guys, Banner of the Zenith is really only for Scouts. Wardancers see above. A rare choice would be nice too, either a treeman, or eagle help alot, and Waywatchers can be useful. There are lots of other lists posted here at that point level for you to use as a guide.

2500- Same points as 2000, except you have a rare. As before check out others lists for ideas.

As an aside, don't post point costs for each item you list. You get in trouble for that. Just post the total cost for the unit with upgrades included.

    Good luck,
    SirKently

I think this list is quite poor. The spellsinger at 500pts is a waste. The Eternal Guard with no character are not stubborn and the banner really doesn't suit them. I'd recommend wholesale changes and consider adding in dryads and a noble or branchwraith as the general.

    1000 pts army (998 pts)

    1 Spellsinger ----------------- pts
    *lvl 2 ------------------------- pts

    10 Glade Guards ------------ pts
    10 Glade Guards ------------ pts

    12 Eternal Guards ----------- pts

    8 Wardancers ---------------- pts
    *Champion -------------------- pts
    8 Wardancers ---------------- pts
    *Champion -------------------- pts

Stay away from the Level 2 at this stage. The rest of the list is better.

    2000 pts army (1997 pts)

    1 Highborn ------------------- pts
    *Great weapon ----------------- pts
    *Light armour ------------------ pts
    *Briarsheath ------------------ pts
    *Daith's reaper --------------- pts

Can't have great weapon and magic weapon. Can't have light armour and briarseath.

    1 Spellsinger ----------------- pts
    *lvl 2 ------------------------- pts

    10 Glade Guards ------------ pts
    10 Glade Guards ------------ pts
    10 Glade Guards ------------ pts
    *Musician ---------------------- pts

Probably need musicians in all the units.

    7 Glade riders --------------- pts
    7 Glade riders --------------- pts

These guys are best in units of 5 and a musician is a must.

    16 Eternal Guards ----------- pts
    *Standard Bearer ------------- pts
*Banner of the Zenith -------- pts
    16 Eternal Guards ----------- pts
    *Eternal ----------------------- pts

Not a fan of the banner of zenith on this unit as it is so slow.

    14 Dryads ------------------- pts

    10 Wardancers -------------- pts
    10 Wardancers -------------- pts

    2500 pts army (2499 pts)

    *Briarsheath ------------------ pts
    *Daith's reaper --------------- pts
    *Elven Steed ------------------ pts

    Same comments as before.

    1 Spellsinger pts
    *lvl 2 pts

    10 Glade Guards ------------ pts
    10 Glade Guards ------------ pts
    *Musician ---------------------- pts
    10 Glade Guards ------------ pts
    *Musician ---------------------- pts

    7 Glade riders --------------- pts
    *Musician ----------------------- pts
    7 Glade riders --------------- pts

    Ditto the previous comments.

    16 Eternal Guards ----------- pts
    *Standard Bearer ------------- pts
*Banner of the Zenith -------- pts
    16 Eternal Guards ----------- pts
    *Eternal ----------------------- pts

    15 Dryads -------------------- pts
    *Champion -------------------- pts

    10 Wardancers -------------- pts
    10 Wardancers -------------- pts

    6 Warhawk riders ------------ pts

This unit is too big. The foot print they make and their points cost makes it a very easy and costly target. 3-4 is a good size I have found.

    8 Waywatchers --------------- pts

Comments above. Also, please refrain from posting the cost of unupgraded units and the points for individual upgrades as it is against forum rules. Please take a moment to read them. You can find a link in my sig.

Points 1 and 8 should cover most of the issues, including the use of capitals and sentences.

    Hope that helps.

The 500-points list is oke, though you can consider a Hail of Doom Arrow for you're noble. You're 1000-points list is also nice, only the same comment to take the HoDA ( and get rid of that champion in the dryad unit, it's way to expensive). In you're 2000-points list are more things to change: first spellsingers can't get three dispell scrolls(limited to 2). I would take only three Treekin, though this isn't that bad. You may want to get a full command for you're Eternal Guard and I would only take one unit of wardancers (one of 10). Maybe you could put a noble (or change that highborn) in the Eternal Guard. For the 2500-points list, the mage, see comment above. Again put a noble/highborn in the Eternal Guard(you really want them to be stubborn). Also for the wardancers the same comment. These list are better then they were, a few changes and they will be killer-list.

Here's my problem with the list. Most small point armies excel in shooting and not in magic. The other armies that do well in small point games are horde armies like O&G because they can pack in more guys than the rest of the armies (think night goblins @500pts).

In my opinion, and I tell you this if you care about winning at all, do not take eternal guards until you have at least 2000pts on the board. The only advantage of Eternal guard is their leadership 9 stubborness with a noble and if they have the big banner of 5+ward for eveyone, they can usually hold up an enemy for a few turns. Their initiative is good, but there are too many armies that ignore initiative these days (HE and VC). There is no way you get across the board with your force intact unless your opponent refuses to shoot at you. You have nothing that can even hurt the enemy except some str4 on the charge GR who will die if they have any str at all.

    Hi asrai archer,

I've thought about the HoDA, but i didn't like them enough to place them in the army.
The Dryad champion was only because i had 12 points left and it seemed the easiest solution.

You may want to get a full command for you're Eternal Guard.
What do you mean with giving them full command?

Yeah i forgot that the stubborness doesnt work with spellsingers and stuff and that is actually the only reason i put them in there.

Why only one Wardancer unit? I think they have nice stats and abilities, but since i haven't played a real match with them, could you tell my why only one unit?

    Anyway, thanks for the comments.

    Hi buckero0,

if they have the big banner of 5+ward for eveyone
Which banner are you talking about?

personally i think the 500 points army is the hardest one to make since you just dont have so much choices and still be effective.

i really like the sound of the wardancer noble and then i can scrap the EG anyways.. But the army was precisely 1k points though.

About the 2k points army, why not use the lvl 2 spellsinger? and isn't a musician obligated with WR? that's why i didn't posted it. Since the EG can be removed here to, i allready should have enough points for another noble or something. Oh and why 5 WR? the difference isn't that great i suppose.

Also thanks for the advise and comments.

The wardancers are way too expensive to take so many and you need them to get out of site of archers, or they die immediately. One unit can do that, but to is getting a problem. And about the HoDA, I didn't thought he was that good in the very beginning, till I just tried them out. You can use them to destroy a unit of low armoursave troops (archers...), or you must have very much bad luck. About full command I mean champion, standard bearer and musicion.
