In about two weeks, I play in a team tourney. I'll play my Wood Elves with Greg's Dwarfs, 1500 pts per army, only one lord per team. I think it's a great partnership, and I'm looking for other people's ideas on how to build my army, or even the dwarfs.
I'm planning on this:
Scout Noble, Hail of Doom
Branchwraith, Cluster and lvl 1
2 units of 10 archers with musicians
6 glade riders with mus
2 units of 8 dryads
2 units of 7 wardancers with muscians
6 wild riders with full command and war banner
1 great eagle
Greg's thinking of taking an anvil, some warriors and slayers, and lots of shooting. Or, he suggested not taking the anvil and beefing up on infantry. Then I'd take the lord, like a treeman ancient.
I like the idea of taking more infantry, but I'm not sure a treeman ancient is the best thing.
What do you guys think?
I honestly wouldn't bother with a Lord character for the Wood Elf side, a dwarf Lord with some funky stuff will suit you a lot better.
I think your list is very solid but why the scout noble? Suicide character?
Some strength 7 stuff on the dwarf side would go a long way to helping that little Wood Elf problem. Also, I would be very careful about going too missile heavy. LOS could be a big problem.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
I agree with skar, no need for a wood elf lord, and why the scout noble.
As you are teaming up with dwarves, I would scrap the shooting altogether and try to augment them with the one thing they don't have, speed.
I think you should concentrate on wild riders, glade riders, warhawk riders, and eagles. Of course the branchwraith with a unit of dryads is nice to keep around. And since you aren't the general, I would make the noble an alter.
Thats would be my advice.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
We expect a lot of undead armies. I helped run a tourney last week, and right now, everybody's hot for vampires and daemons. I think we need some magic defense and some ItP units.
I would hesitate about making too fast of an army, some speed is nice to offset dwarf slowness ( of which your list has enough), however, if your side starts getting too fast, there is no way the dwarf units will ever keep up, so instead of hitting like a hammer with dwarven infantry in the front and wood elves flanking all at once, you'll hit in two waves, niether of which would be terribly effective on its own.
I think the dwarf should have the lord as well, though I also think that along with infantry and an anvil, some cannons or strength 7 bolt throwers would go a long way.
