Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm totally new to this and trying to put together a Wood Elf army to go against Tomb Kings.
I've got a good start on core units, but I have no idea what to add for special and rare. And having never played before don't have a clue where to begin.
Any suggetions of what to add to my army (or a kick-butt list against Tomb Kings) would be much appreciated! The collector in me wants to buy one (or two) of everything, but budget and time to paint is holding me back.
Oh, and feel free to add strategy to the list too. I'd love to have my first game guns-ablazing and have a chance at surviving more than one round.
uhm tomb kings...
one of the worst army you could face for WE
their pro's: immune to psycology
they have alot of magic stuff, including arrows that negate our ward save...
they have an akward way of casting any magic...
at 2k, i guess you should use as lord this
wand of the witch elm
and at least another spellsinger lvl1 with 2 scrolls
then as troops, guess an equal amount of dryads and gg, try to screen the archers.

Dwarves Army (retired):
Includes the "White Dwarf"
Guardians of the Eastern Fringe: 1560pts
TK's are a bad match up for us, they have all the advantages of being undead but can shoot as well.
I tend to take an all comers list but I have found that wildriders work very well against them. Neutralise the archers and save your dispel scrolls and dice for the extra attack/movment spells.
Don't go crazy with magic defence, things like alters are still kick arse.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
