4 dd + 4 scrolls
No shooting, total combat, sexay.
Yeah I though about that but i figured I could deal without.
I would drop the Amaranthine Brooch for the DawnSpear. It will benefit the entire unit, particularly if you get involved in a prolonged combat. T3 26 point Wild Riders can go ka-sploit really fast.
Denying the enemy points of combat resolution (via making them miss) is a good way to compensate for your lack of static res and over all fleshyness; or at least that's what I have found.
If you really did want to make your High Born more defensively than offensively specced, I would consider Netlings over the Brooch; it would make him a demon to kill in a challenge.
I would also mess with musicians to try getting a War Banner in the unit your Highborn is in. The extra res will help crack those tough units. But that's just me -- I've noticed there are alot of uber-anvils around and I like my hammers able to as much as they can.
Beyond that, I really like the list.
I agree with gnomish here. The dawnspear, and warbanner are the way to go.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
Thank for the input guys. But where do you guys think i should pull the points for a war banner? maybe take a scroll out? i cant figure where to get the points from.
yeah. that might work.
you could also drop some command in places.
Hey guys I played this list, Massacre for the wood elves, the only change I made was switching the brooch for the dawn spear. I was playing against warriors of chaos, (6th ed.)
What i saw was two huge units probably 35 models a piece of warriors, a lord on steed of slaneesh a unit of five horsemen a large unit of fliers I don't know what they were deamons of some sort a sorceress and some maruderers.
long story shot, my units of war dancers racked up 42 kills
