Welcome to Librarium Online!
I've been thinking about some of the Possible themed army lists, and I think I have come up with an idea.
Theme: Wardancers and their Magic Bubble
Wardancer Highborn With Blades of Lorec, SCM, Moonstone of the Hidden Ways (Wardancer Unit)
Battle Standard Bearer With Royal Standard of Ariel (Eternal Gaurd)
Branchwraith with Cluster of Radiants and Annoyance of Netlings (Dryads)
Glamourweave Caddy on Unicorn (Dryads)
8 x Dryad
10x Glade Gaurd
10X Glade Gaurd
14x Eternal Gaurd
7x Way Watchers
the idea is that the entire army gets some form of magic resistence, offering some form of magic defence (Combined with 5 DD). The troops hit hard and can move fast, and hopefully 2 units of archers can offer enough support fire to keep the enemey wanting to move, with waywatchers and the eagle to make that difficult to do.
I've used some items and units that I wouldn't normally field, so their effectiveness is questionable. I'm not entirely certain of the way to use it. I figure that playince the archers in the center and attempting to run the wardancers up either side, with the EG and Dryads working with the archers to keep some attention on the center.
I was't sure if i could put the mage into that unit or not, I guess I should have re-read the rules on skirmishers to be sure. thanks for catching that for me though. =D
I might have to Swich up my whole character lineup.
What if I placed her and the branchwraith in a unit of Treekin insted? otherwise I'll have to re-tool quite a bit.
The SCM is a big risk, but it is the only thing I can take to protect him for 30 points. I'm somewhat banking on the fact that he'll kill most of whatever can hit him back when on the charge. With his dancing, he should be ok.
I wanted to give the EG a try with that unit size. I plan on having them in 2 ranks of 7, giving them maximum attack frontage, and the BSB makes the unit stubborn. I want to see how they size up in comparison to Black Gaurd and Phoenix Gaurd, who both seem to come in units of similar size. it also keeps the unit a little less expensive, so when they end up being totally wimpy it's not a huge loss. I suppose they would need another rank to be truely threatening, so we will see how the points can spread out
then again, the BSB on an eagle may be pretty good too.
Its funny cause i was writting a list so i decided to go on librarium,
and my idea was mass wardancers and a small force of eternal guard of 2 ranks 7 wide,
and your list happened to be there waiting.
List looks good except you only have wardancers as your hitting force,
and one unit of dryads,
try to get more hittin stuff, not sure how your gonna do that.
I know thats not good advice at all hha.
How do you plan to run thisl ist?
Ok you should drop the unicorn and the royal standard,
get more dryads perhaps more glade guard,
get the war banner on the BSB,
and some champions on the wardancers,
and you only have 1 bait and flee unit,
mabye you could get a unit of glade riders instead of the royal standard?
