    2000pt Friendly WE's (New Player!)

I'm just starting wood elves and I'm new to WHFB. I'm just making a preliminary army list to figure out what I'm going to buy right off the bat. This list is for at my FLGS. I have the army book and rulebook, but I haven't read through the rulebook cover-to-cover yet so I don't know the nitty gritty details of gameplay.

Okay, so this is what I've got so far...

Alter Highborn - LA, Shield, GW, Bow of Loren, Arcane Bodkins, Glamourweave

Wardancer Noble - Blades of Loec
Branchwraith - Cluster of Radiants, Annoyance of Netlings, LVL 1

8 Dryads (<-- Branchwraith goes here.)
    8 Dryads
    10 Glade Guard + Musician
    10 Glade Guard + Musician

6 Wild Riders + Wild Hunter + Musician + Standard Bearer (Warbanner)
8 Wardancers (<-- Noble goes here.)
    3 Warhawk Riders

    5 Waywatchers
    1 Treeman

    Should I:

    - Take out Branchwraith's Annoyance of Netlings
    - Take out Glamourweave
    - Take out one Wild Rider
--- All to add one more Noble, with LA, Shield, GW, HoDA, and HotH?

    Or should I:

    - Add a Branch Nymph to the unit of Dryads with the Branchwraith
    - Add a Bladesinger to the unit of Wardancers with the Noble
--- And somehow make up the other 83 points?

Or.... ? I'm relatively happy with the army list, on paper at least, I'm just not sure how to tighten it up and really make it shine.

I think this list looks pretty good. I'd be a bit worried about magic defence with no scrolls, so the only modification i would consider is to swap the waywatcers for scouts and add a caddy with 1 scroll, and add a bladesinger for your wardancers. with annoyance of netlings, you want her in a challange no matter what. with the wardancers, you want your hero to be able to choose his targets on the charge, so a bladesinger would be needed to accept any undesireable challanges.

I think I might try this list out myself =D

Looks like a pretty solid list. Though I think I would swap out the wraith for a caddy. 4 dispel dice just won't go far enough. That would free up a few point to get a champ in the wardancer unit to accept challenges.

I would also probably drop the waywatchers. Just get an eagle and this would free up enough points for you to get a unit of glade riders. An excellent bait unit for wood elves.

    Good Luck,
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
