Ok, so after having played my previous list that was all cavalry. I decided I really like the wild riders but the glade riders as they seemed to more just get in the way. Anyways here is my revamped list. Has a lot less shooting (almost none in fact) but I plan on moving forest around a lot to block sight anyways so no big deal really. Here goes, any comment are welcome.
Lord + Hero = Orion = 575 points
Hero = Spellsinger = 150 points
- level 2, deep woodsphere
Hero = Spellsinger = 175 points
- level 2, calaingors staff, dispel scroll
Core = 5 units of 6 wild rider = 156 (780) points
Rare = 2 Treeman = 285 (570) points
Total = 2250 points
Model Count = 35, Power Dice = 6, Dispel Dice = 6, 2 bound spells
Plan is to put the caster in the middle of the biggest piece of forest so as they are safe and then just move forest around to shield my units until I can move to set up good charges.

- You must set fire to water or you will be extinguished.
Woot! I really like this list! Great to see someone actually USING Orion! He gives us an interesting fast Cavalry list that no one else can field.
Hmmm... might have to copy you after I'm done with Drycha...
Anyway, I don't know how much you're planning on relying on that tree singing. Because you have two treemen, It might be worth thinking about swapping your Calaingor's for a BSB w/ the Royal Standard of Ariel, to get some MR on your treemen and some rerolls on their break tests.
But, that would also ignore one of biggest advantages/distinctions. So, it's just something to think about.
Speaking of magic resistence. HOLY COW, almost everything has magic res 1 on it in this list. That's pretty dang good; didn't think of the ramifications before. I might consider dropping the Deep wood sphere and scroll and taking a Staff of sorcery to optimize the sheer amount of dispel dice you can generate.
Good looking list I'm planning on using Orion for the first time this thursday
Are you going to put Orion in one of your wild rider units? ... i think they lose their fast cav rules, but it does protect him a little bit
They don't lose fast cavalry. In the BRB section about Fast Cav (I don't have it in front of me, so I don't know the exact page number) it says that mounted characters can join units of fast cavalry, and gain the movement benefits. However, the character does not get to shoot after rallying, the way normal fast cavalry do.
(i don't know the rule for it either)
.....but does Orion count as a mounted character then?
Hmm... that's a good point, the rule might actually just say "Characters" and not "Mounted Characters," I'm not exactly sure. If it is Mounted then it's conceivable that you would lose the Fast Cav movement rules, but that doesn't seem to make much sense, that a single model on foot that can free-reform as much as needed, joins a unit that can do the same, but the combination can't?
Hard hitting list there, with lots of speed. The new brettonians are we, without the armour save of course. I like the list a lot. I would not make it myself as I don't own that many wild riders and would not want to have to paint them up.
I think I would try to get the mages mounted though, so you could get them where they need to be, and out of trouble. May have to think about foregoing one of the units of wild riders though. But that would give you the points to put some command models in the other units, and maybe a warbanner on one of them.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
