I have another campaign game tomorow against WoC. I play WoC myself, so I tried to make something that would frustrate me. here is what i came up with.
Alter Noble with Bow of loren and arcane bodkins, la, sh, gw - to kill knights
scroll caddy level 1
radiant caddy level 1 (magic D and singing)
Waywatcher Noble with HODA and an additional hand weapon
3 x Hawks
7 x dancers
6 x wildriders with Full Command and War Banner
With some luck, I'll get a woods in his deployment zone and the Waywatchers will have a field day. Otherwise they will do some initial marchblocking and blasting some chumps turn 1 and praying to live past that. Possibly deploying them in a woods back further to future marchblock might be better
everyhing moves up slowly, with the GR and Hawks marchblocking, harrasing, drawing off frenzies ECT, trying for an open flank for the Wildriders to sneak in, so i can combocharge something. the treeman will primarily be a mobile artillery, staying near forrests to cover an escape so he does not get locked into combat with those nasty chaos heros
4 PD 1 bound singing
5DD 2 scrolls
38 shots of some sort a turn
shoot the crap out of him to take away combat res, hopefully panic something at some point in time, out move and combo charge.
Nice list. The only think I don't like is the waywatcher noble here. I would rather have just the standard alter noble. Other than that, all is well.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
the waywatcher noble did some good in my HE game. I guess this is a different story and isn't nessisary. Perhaps I'll swich him out, might save me a few points
your list is well balanced i just have one bit of advice for fighting WOC as i have quite a bit of experience fighting them myself, the answer to killing these bad boys is speed, baiting and hard hitting tthis means wild riders if i were you i would drop a unit of GG and try swing things about so you can drop another unit of six wild riders in there use your GR as bait cav and real those dudes to your wild riders, oh and i agree that waywatcher noble is not a great choice noble alter with the HOD and a wild rider noble but hey even tho im not a fan of heavy shooting agains WOW he might take loads of marauders in wich case your shooting will go down just fine.
I did swich the noble, and kept the list as-is. I slaughtered the WoC by turn 4 or 5, however it was fairly obvious he did not know what WE were about, as he had a mage on his own (who was picked off by waywatchers turn 1) and parked one unit of knights and his heavy warriors right beside a forest, which was moved directly in front of them and this taking them out of the game until everything else had been mopped up.
I do not like Wild Riders as much as I used too. Only having one attack each and only going STR 5 on a charge is pretty washy. For the cost, Wardancers are better with 3 attacks each on a charge(if the right dance is chosen) with better WS and only 1 less str. after that, KB works better than Wildriders anyday.
