    2000 Mounted Wood Elves

Just for fun. Think it would be competitive at all? I would absolutely love to play something like this.

Basically shoot, shoot shoot, fast calv past people then continue to shoot or combine charges to take units down. The treeman is there to attract fire and to take out one flank hopefully.

Warhawks can take out missile crews and then come in and flank charge.

Has 0 staying power so you need to keep moving, you essentially cant get into combat. I would also be worried about anything with magic missiles. I know i can out range any gunline though.

The army is a specialist army, so it will be hit and miss. One army i think you will do poorly against is vampires. Shooting won't do alot against them, and raising tar-pit zombies in your way will slow you down, and vanhal's will get you into combat when you don't want to be.

shooty armies will also pick you apart, as glade riders are rather fragile.

but, WoC will have a really hard time with you, and any other army that lacks shooting or alot of calvery of their own.

I've always wanted to try a fully mounted list before i think it would be very challangeing. Your list looks solid enough i would personally try get a Dragon in there and definately some Wild Riders for some CC punch.

I don't think the list as posted would do very well. Strength 3 shooting just doesn't have enough punch to it. Your only combat guy is the treeman, so your opponent will throw his best combat troops against it, and probably cause you some grief.

If you really want to go this route, I would agree with aaron, get a dragon, some wild riders, eagles, mounted wizards and nobles. Go fast but get into combat as well.

As a caveat, I did try an all mounted list in a 1k tournament awhile ago. I got steamrolled. The price of the troops can be a little prohibitive.

    Good luck,
    SirKently
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.

I'd drop the treeman all together. He's a liability as he has a high probably of tying down your other forces (if he can't keep up and gets threatened or in a combat), or ending up isolated on his own.

HOTH and Enchanted shield are both magic armour, and thus cannot be taken together. Sirkently caught me on the same thing =P
I think the point of the dragon is to be combat oriented, so maybe you should re-tool him to match. I think the fiblewintershard is pretty good on the dragon, and a ward added to that will make him fine. if you can squeeze a magic weapon in there, you should be good.

I wouldn't go with this. he's on a steed, so probably going in a unit of wild riders. Wild Riders flee, BSB is lost.

I pref a champ in these units, as they lack alot of punch on a charge.

I'd Keep the treeman. Sirkently is right in that he will get targeted, but that gives them a focal point and will draw them in to him. set up for the combo charge with the anchor. The weakness is if he is your only combat unit, and you have fixed that up.
