To start out I'd like to say that I'm really impressed with how friendly and helpful everyone is here. I'm new to WHFB (a convert from 40k), and I'm looking foreward to my first few games. That being said, I don't have much of an idea of the real significance of certain choices that I've made making this list. I've neglected magic since I don't truly understand it yet, but I'm still unaware if this means I'm making a -fail- list. For the most part I've chosen units based on models I like. Anyways without further rambling...
Noble - wardancer kindred, blades of loec - 140pts (placed with wardancers duh.)
Branchwraith - 65pts (placed with dryads)
Glade Guard x10 - musician - 126pts
Dryads x 8 - champ - 108 pts
Wardancers x 8 - musician - 151 pts
Warhawk Riders x 3 - 120 pts
Treeman - 285 pts
I appologize in advance if I've made a newb mistake or a miscalculation. Thanks for reading!
If you give the BW the Cluster as well, that gives you 4dd which is allot for 1k battle, but ensures your opponent will not cast many spells.
If you want a more offensive list, I recommend Annoyance of Netlings for the BW. Try to get her into combat with the enemy General and issue a challenge. Most opponents don't want to see their general in the back of the combat so they will accept. But 6's to hit means you will survive, and an opportunity to kill his general. BW are tough son's of B'ses.
I hope this helped, and success in your future WHFB endeavours, you made a wise choice picking WE's!
Seein you're new with wood elves it might be wise to choose some more units instead of relying alot on a treeman and branchwraith. If you're treeman and branchwraith dies what do you get left? (if they die offc, cant deny that they are strong individuals)
You're standing on a hill, overlooking the battlefield. You, by yourself, against 10.000 man. There's only one thing on your mind at such a moment...
WTF is my theme song?
Thanks for all the advice guys. I'll definately take max up on his branchwraith improvements. As for the treeman, another reason I decided to take him/her(?) over a unit of cavalry or the like was my budget. It seems in my area of the world people are selling more used treemen than wild riders. Of course the warhawk riders will break the bank but I just cant help it since they so damn cool . I'm going to paint up my cores and then proxy the specials and play a few games at my local gaming store and see what's what. Thanks again for all the help.
