I had just started wood elves and a conflict tourney had just started. I had created an army list with some help from my store. Here is what I have:
Spellsinger - 2x dispel scroll= 140
Noble- Alter kindred, HODA, Helm of the hunt, Great weapon, Light armour, Shield= 158
11 Glade guards- Musician= 138
11 Glade guards- Musician= 1385 Glade riders- Musician= 129
8 Dryads- Branch nymph= 108
8 Dryads= 96
8 Dryads= 96
3 Tree kins= 195
Great eagle= 50
Please feel free to give any advice you find useful for me.
Your Noble sounds good what you have put onto him but for your spellweaver i think maybe an item that helps his magic would be good because must people u might vs could dispell his spells all the time. The dispells scrolls are good when u are vsing a team with alot of casters in it. Ex, Tombkings has lots of casters. Also they come in handy when u need to stop a spell immidately that might hurt you alot.
I would take the musicians out of the Glade Guards because it wont help much since they have no armor saves they would get destroyed fast in melee. So the musician wouldnt help you out much. Also your Glade riders wouldnt be much help in this army since nothing else is as fast as them so they would get shot down or killed in melee and you wont be able to suport them. Also there armor saves isnt that great either and they are too much points so i wouldnt put them into your amry. Your dryads are good but i would have a squad of 12 with that branch nymph and just one more squad of 8 dryads would be good.
Treekins are kinda ok they lose sometimes in combat resolution which is not good but that depends how you use them and i wouldnt use them in a 1k army but in a 2k i would. Treekins are good at supporting other troops.
The Great eagle wouldnt be good to pick since you dont have alot of calvary not unless u play with some turrian because if you dont have any of those they would get shot down pretty fast. Great eagles are good at killing hero casters that are alone and war machines. Instead of great eagles i would get waywatchers.
These are my thoughts on your army. You should check out the Wood Elf tactics in forums (first page in the Stick thread section) they teach you alot about your team and how you should use them. I bet if you check it out u might know what you might want to do for a next army.
Here is a link that leads it straight to the tactic web

As said above, treekin arn't the greatest choice at this point level. I would reccomend adding a unit of 6 wild riders carrying the war banner for a total of 199 points. This would put you 2 points over and would have to drop a musician from one of the glade guard units, but the wild riders will be well worth it.
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but just for what it's worth you might want to post this kind of thing in the army list section =)
I like the idea of the wild riders but im not sure the wardancers would suit my playing style since i dont really know how to use them.
I was thinking of adding the 6 wild riders with full command in replacement with the tree kins. If i were to field the wardancers then how should i use them and what against?
My friend you should check that web link i posted it will teach you how to use wardancers and the rest of your army.
Heres the link again.
This will teach you about your team like it has tought me. >
Thanks, that helped a lot!
Your noble is perfect. I would suggest that you drop the unit of dryads with the branch nymph and the tree kin as suggested above. Also I think you should bring the glade guard down to 10 and lose the musicians on the guard and the riders. If you do that then you'll have 348 points left, so you can exactly fit in 2 units of 6 wild riders with musicians and standard bearers. I think 2 units of wild riders is very powerful. Keep the glade riders and the eagle, they're perfect for march blocking. Your eagle can take out war machine crew and lone wizards while your glade riders can help your dryads by negating ranks and adding combat res.
Thanks for the advice but id like to keep the musicians because im going to be doing a lot of voluntary fleeing with my riders and i use the retreating fireline with my glade guards. I like the ideas of two hard hitting calvary units although many others would think its a bit too cheesy.
A question. Can wild riders carry warbanners or is it only for heroes and lords???
