    2250 pt highly flexible army

    Okay here is my new 2250 pt army list, id like to see what you think of it, normaly i take a list with 2 treemen and a dragon lord, Im finding that my dragon lord keeps losing me the game, when he dies thats like 650 VP's to their side, so this time i have chosen an army with lots of smaller point units so losing a unit to a strong spell isnt a big issue.

    CHARACTERS

    Highborn Alter, La, GW, SH, Bow of Loren, Arcane Bodkins

    Noble Alter, LA, GW, SH, Hail of Doom Arrow

    Spell singer lv1, 2x Dispell Scoll

    Spellsinger Glamourweave kindred, elven steed, 2x Dispell Scroll

    CORE

    10 Glade Guard

    10 Glaude Guard

    5 Scout

    8 Dryad

    5 Glade Rider

    5 Glade Rider

    20 Eternal Guard, Full command

    SPECIAL

    5 Wild Rider

    RARE

    1 Treeman

    9 Waywatchers


    I am fielding this army because i know that i will be fighting against Chaos, with lots of Chaos Knights, Chaos Warrios, and as much as 9 Casting Dice..... Last time my Dragon Lord got Gatewayed out of the game in the 4th round after id used up every dispel i had. - it lost me the game, this time ive spread my weight around a lot better

    any thoughts?

    Why the horse and kindred. It won't really help that much. Just hide on foot.

    I usually only take one unit of glade riders as they are pretty frail. I would get musicians for them both if you are keeping two.

    20 Eternal Guard, Full command
    One of these units isn't like the others. This unit doesn't mesh well with the rest of the force. You also don't have a character to stick in here to make them stubborn. I would drop these guys for more special units.

    SPECIAL

    5 Wild Rider
    Would up these to 6 with standard and warbanner if you can get the points. Would also get some more special units. Warhawks are good mage hunters. Wardancers are a nice mobile combat unit.

    RARE

    1 Treeman
    I like the treeman, but he is also a lot of points and losing him can be a big hit. I would drop him as well for more units.
    9 Waywatchers
    Waywatchers are nice, but maybe a little big.

    thats just because i only have a mounted model

    He will get shot at, and have magic cast at him. Get him a save, I like the glamourweave, and an enchanted shield.

    Ill have to drop some waywatchers to improve the Highborn, but might leave noble as he is.

    I have the Eternal Guard, because I think ill have to kill his Lord or maybe th remains of his units if they get to me with Static Combat Res

    if you really want the eternal guard, see if you can fit a battle standard bearer to go with them. It will make them ten times better as well as help the units around them

    i think if you eternal guard get to the point where they are losing a combat, then you arnt using them right, andthey wont have enough ranks left to win more fights, i view Eternal guard as the Last line, once shooting is all fizzled out and they are on you, the eternal guard move in, and all your fast cav comes in the sides, and you break their arrow weakened units.

    This is how i intend to play, i might be wrong, but ill let you guys know how it goes, the only thing i rly rly want to change is to put some more defence on my lord, which can be done by dropping a way watcher or 2.

    I would drop a couple waywatchers and use the extra points to bump your wild riders up to 6 and give them the warbanner.

    And the glamourweave sorcerer isnt really all that effective, if its because you only have a mounter sorcerer model you can just have him on a steed without the kindred to save yourself some points.
