    1k tournament woodelf army

I believe there will be a lot of Chaos daemons and high elf in this tourny so any help would be nice and also I only have limited models so. This is what i have so far.

Woodelf Noble/ in unit of eternal guard:
    Glamourwave
    Briarsheath
    Shield Total: 122
This is a good block unit and will be very hard to shoot at.

    Spellsinger/ with gladeguard:
    Level 2 wizard
    Dispell scroll
    Starfire arrows Total: 175

    Glade-Guard X 10 Total: 120

    Glade-Guard X 10 120pts Total: 120

    Eternal-Guard X 10 120pts Total: 120

    Wild Riders X 5 130pts Total: 130
    This includes musician and flag

    Waywatchers X 5 120pts Total: 120

Im at 907 pts at this point, im stuck here

    Wardancers X 5 90pts Total: 90
    Grand total with Wardancers: 997
    or
    Dryads X 8 96pts Total: 96
Using Dryads will put me over to 1003

Im a new WE user so I only have this in my whole army, 7 gladeriders, 6 wardancers, 10 Eternal, 9 waywatchers, 12 Dryrads, and the 2 heroes. and only 5 wild riders. So please any help or advice would be greatly apprieative. this tournament will be on Sunday.
I think the 20 glade guard will be enough archers, but im not sure of my heros equipment. It has took dragon prince of the high elf 3-4 turns to kill my eternal guard with hero so i have had good luck with that combo. Any advice would be nice and considered.
P.S I will be against high elfes and chaos deamons. Im scared of chaos daemons. Their toughness is mostly 3 but their movement and strength is unreal.

you do know that briarsheath does not make the regement harder to shoot at, only the char him self.

This is a good block unit and will be very hard to shoot at.
PANTS: I’d dump him. What about going with the standard alter.

    Spellsinger/ with gladeguard: 90pts
    Level 2 wizard
    Dispell scroll
    Starfire arrows Total: 175

the chances you’ll get your money’s worth with the starfire arrows is 1000000/1. Dump them, the rest good. Get two more archers

    Glade-Guard X 10 120pts Total: 120
    Glade-Guard X 10 120pts Total: 120

    Nice Core

    Eternal-Guard X 10 120pts Total: 120

    Absolute pants, drop them.

    Wild Riders X 5 130pts Total: 130
    This includes musician and flag

    Nice

    Waywatchers X 5 120pts Total: 120

Nice. One or two more would be nice v chaos and high elves

Defo go with wardancers. Try to bring archers up to 12 in each regement

Hmm, I would go with an standard noble for this one.

    Spellsinger/ with gladeguard:
    Level 2 wizard

Drop this make it a scroll cady; no way your going to pull of magic vs HE.

    Glade-Guard X 10 120pts Total: 120
    Glade-Guard X 10 120pts Total: 120
Good core, I would try to fit in a regiment of 8 dryads though... very handy for screening!

    Eternal-Guard X 10 120pts Total: 120
Drop this, its not point effective in this kind of point games. Put in wardancers instead.

    Wild Riders X 5 130pts Total: 130
    This includes musician and flag
    Looks good to me

    Waywatchers X 5 120pts Total: 120
Looks good as well, maybe some more would hurt though.

So with my adjustments you would have:

    Woodelf Noble 75pts
    Alter Kindred
    Helm of the Hunt
Hail of Doom arrow Total: 150

    Spellsinger/ with gladeguard: 90pts
    Dispell Scroll
    Dispell Scroll Total: 140
    (Army general)

    Glade-Guard X 10 120pts
    Champion (lord bowman) Total: 126
    Glade-Guard X 10 120pts Total: 120
    Dryads x 8 96pts Total 96

    Wardancers x 6 108pts Total 108
    (maybe adding a champ...) Wild Riders X 5 130pts Total: 130
    This includes musician and flag

    Waywatchers X 5 120pts Total: 120
    This adds up to 996,
What to do with those 4pts... well I have no ideas left

I will have 10 points left. SHould i just give my noble a shield or great weapon or addiotional hand weapon? Also I should have him charge with the dryads or wild riders right? Or have him sit next to my archers? Or should i ditch the dryads for wardancers? Shouldn't I make my spellsinger a level 2 instead? Or does the 2 dispell scrolls make up for that? When i roll for spells should i always go for tree singing? if im just a level 1 caster? I feel kinda vulnerable with no block unit (eternal guard) but i can see how this can be deadly. Adding more waywatchers sounds tempting. Woodelf Hero just looks so weak compared to all other heroes. but I wont use him as attacking unit alone. So far i like this army list, unless people come up with better ones with my available units. Thanks a lot for those who responded

I think I would drop the alter kindred from the noble. Give the noble light armour, shield, and great weapon. He can then run in the wardancers. Drop the champ from the glade guard unit, and add two musicians, one in each unit. I would add a warbanner to the wild riders.

    Thats my advice,

    Woodelf Noble
    Alter Kindred
    Briarsheath
    Enchanted Shield:10pts Total: 150
    Deepwood Sphere:
This way I will be hard to shoot at, and have a 4 armour save in close combat. I figure I will keep him in the woods to lure the enemy in and then use deepwood sphere on all his units. Kinda experimental but if enemy falls for the trap its gonna hurt.
    Spellsinger/ with gladeguard:
    Dispell Scroll
    Dispell Scroll Total: 140
    (Army general)

    Glade-Guard X 10 120pts
    Champion (lord bowman) Total: 126
    Glade-Guard X 10 120pts Total: 120
    Dryads x 8 96pts Total 96

    Wardancers x 6 108pts Total 108
    (maybe adding a champ...) Wild Riders X 5 130pts Total: 130
    This includes musician and flag

    Waywatchers X 5 120pts Total: 120

    TOTAL: 990
Thanks for all the advice but i might go with this. Its kinda experimental and risky if the enemy doesnt go for it but if he does it should do loads of damage. Just cant let him know lol.

You can't have the briarsheath and enchanted shield. They are both armour.

They both count as armour, so you can't take them together.

Ill replace the Briarsheath with Biting blade or Talisman of protection. And then use 2 points for light armour. Thanks for the info man. My guy will be behind the woods or inside so I should not be getting shot at.
