Welcome to Librarium Online!
I just got from a friend his extensive collection of 5th Edition Wood Elves. I was also able to acquire some of the new units in trade such as Wild Riders, Warhawks, and Treekin.
Here's the list I'm thinking of playing:
Treeman Ancient with Annoyance of Nettlings and Cluster of Radiants - 375
Alter Noble with GW, LA, Shield, Helm of the Hunt, and Hail of Doom Arrow - 158
Lvl 1 Spellsinger with 2 Dispel Scrolls - 140
10 Glade Guard - 120
10 Glade Guard - 120
5 Glade Riders + Musician - 129
8 Dryads - 96
8 Dryads - 96
7 Wardancers + Musician - 133
3 Warhawk Riders - 120
6 Wild Riders + Free Musician + Standard + Warbanner - 199
3 Treekin - 195
5 Waywatchers - 120
Total: 2001 (can drop shield from alter if someone is picky)
I love the TA since I think WE need a Treeman and he offers +1 LD (going from 8 to 9 is huge), extra Treesinging, Annoyance against characters, and best place for Cluster's extra DD. Since I only have one rare slot, I was torn between WW and Eagle. I ended up taking a flyer unit in the special slot and taking WW in the rare slot. So in the end, I have 3 units that (GR, WW, and Warhawks) that can all harass, march block, and threaten warmachines. Am I paying too many pts for these roles? Would I be better off say with 2 GR and a Eagle?
Similarly, I'm taking one unit of each special slot. This also means I have a lot of variety in how I play. However, I won't excel at any phase (moving, shooting, or combat). Is my list too balanced that it won't stand up to any remotely competitive list? Is this jack of all trades master of none?
I think the list will be a lot of fun to play since I'll be able to use all the special rules like fast cav, scouting, and flyers and be able to play with all the things that WE offer.

I think it looks good personally. Tho, I think to synergize with your Treeman Ancient you'll want some more treesinging. Only if you want to actually take advantage of his bound spells tho.
Actually, I think the Treekin are going to be a liability. I'd drop them and take another dispel caddy. If not that, perhaps another unit of Wild Riders or an alter kin for combat.
For marchblocking, mage assassination, and warmachine eating warhawks are amazing! The only thing GR do better is bait. So, keep your choices in that department.
The question is whether you need waywatchers, and they give you a good option against heavy cavalry and can marchblock on turn one. I think Great Eagles in that slot (Given you have both GR and WH) would be redundant. That said, waywatchers or another treeman me thinks.
that said, given you want options and flexiblity, I'd keep the waywatchers, if not even take more.

Then I'd just take a second treeman. :/
It looks really good. If anything needs to change, the treekin should be dropped. I've never really had a lot of luck with them, but they do offer str 5 which can really help, tho it's hard to use them properly.
If you do drop them, I would suggest a branchwraith with a cluster of radiants, and beefing up the waywatchers to at least 7.
It is a well balanced list. But put me in the drop the treekin faction. I am not much of a fan of them myself. But if you really want to keep them, up the number to 4. To do this, I would drop a unit of dryads, and use the extra points for another waywatcher.
If you do drop the treekin, I would add another scroll caddy and up the waywatchers again.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
In 7ed you really need more DD power than just the one Caddy and radients. Two caddies and radients should be very suffificent.
