So I was thinking something along these lines - Going from memory but in reality totals 2000 (maybe forgetting something)
Spellweaver - 315
Standard Alter Noble - 158
Alter Noble - Amber Pendant, Briarsheath - 156
BSB Riding Great Eagle (wearing that item +4 ward from shooting and magic missiles) 180~
10 Glade Guard 120
10 Glade Guard 120
8 Dryads 96
8 Dryads 96
6x Wild Riders SB WB MU 199
Totals at around 2000 exactly. Not sure if anything else was on the BSB
This would be one I would take just to have fun with. Enough Treesinging potential and magic defense.
5 Power dice
2 Bound spells
4 Dispel dice
Part of my play style is having Glade riders in their face turn 1... I can do it by dropping Dryads but I need a higher model count imo.
Any comments? Haha be funny to play with this army I would think
Heya, i work that out as = 2010pt. exactly, i dont know if this is an issue for the game you are playing.
315 pts is very expensive for what is a 3 x scroll caddy - with only 5 cast dice you wont get hardly any spells off and it ties up your Lord slot.
I would be tempted to go, Highborn Alter Kindred, with bow of loren and Arcane Bodkins, Stone of Crystal Mere and Enchanted shield + Standard Noble Alter + Amber Noble Alter (you can make one a BSB still if it has no shield), then you have 3 of these guys. Take 1 lv 1 Scroll Caddy with 2 scrolls, and you get a lot more for your points.
This will free up about 100points, which you can then put into taking Glade Riders or Wild Riders. once you drop one group of 8 Dryads this would be ~200points free to spend on that stuff.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of that lord setup. I'd drop it to a scroll caddy and spend the extra points elsewhere.
The BSB is only 170 points and therefore brings me to 2000 pointexactly.
My memory was hazy about him because I never use him.
The reason I thought about using a Spellweaver instead of a regular caddy (or even 2 caddys for a 2000 point game which is not unreasonable), is that I get 3x magic level of regular caddy, an extra DD and the ability to stock up on more scrolls. I also thought it might come in handy to have LD9 General running around with my Treemen.
The Spellweaver would get points back for me because my magic D usually consists of a Caddy, Lvl 1 wraith with CoR. For an extra 35 points (what is costs to make the caddy lvl 2) I get a LD9 general, more spells to chose from and it gives me the option of actually using 2 Alters and a BSB where as a Branchwraith and Caddy take 2 slots.
I know some people roll with 1 caddy and get along fine but I don't like taking risks with a small model count army. Besides - when I can cast treesinging multiple times from her (cause my spellweaver I decided is a her ) (at least 2 times a phase and 3 times every other, my opponent will ALWAYS get ansy because moving trees to stop cavalry or their toughest units makes me win games - ALOT. Don't forget the 2 bound spells from the treemen. I don't think my opponent will dispel every attempt every phase. I may be wrong but in my experience I've been rather successful, even with only a Branchwraith, caddy and Treemen casting in 1250 points.
I love your suggestion AJ about dropping her to only a caddy and dropping dryads for the SOLE purpose of giving me back my Glade Riders! Hoorah! They are so worth their points - even if they only sucker and bait once a game and flee off the board! *sigh*
Thanks for the suggestions though - keep em coming!
Interesting list. Pretty expensive scroll caddy, but it does give you nice defense and three hero slots to use for combat. I would suggest taking your BSB off of an eagle, it just makes him a target. Change one of your dryad units into wardancers, and have the BSB run in there, and give him the amber pendant. Give your other alter the amaranthine brooch.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
