    Dual Dragon List 2000 pts.

So this list is built around Asarnil since he makes the wood elves able to field two dragons in a 2000 pts game. Together the two drgon riders use up about a 1000 pts so it is rather expebsive.

Highborn, dragon, spear, light armour, enchanted shield, hail of doom arrow, glamourweave, helm of the hunt.

    Asarnil the dragonlord.

    Core.
    8 dryads.
    8 dryads.
    8 dryads.

    8 dryads.
    10 glade guards.
    10 glade guards.
    5 glade riders, musician.
    5 glade riders, musician.

With two dragons on the field using up half the armys points I thought i would maximize the number of bodies on the table. Also with just about no magic def. I thoght it would be best to give my opponent as many different targets as possible.
But let me hear what you think of it? is it a cheesy, good or bad list?

definitely cheesy... I mean two dragons!

Ive actually played a very similar list to this once. It wreaks havoc.
Try adding in a Treeman, that way you can have three terror checks on the field (with two of them flying).

dryads actually shine beautifully here since everyone is focused on two flying monstrosities and the dryads just swarm over and eviscerate things in their path.

Is it fun to play? Yes
    Is it cheesy? Yes
Will you still get creamed by Magic heavy armies like DoC and VC? Yes

    it certainly is fun thou!

I agree and it is a list Im going to try out, as you said its probably a lot of fun.
Ading the treeman would be imposible since asarnil takes both rare slots to feild.
I think the list is a bit cheesy yes but as you said magic heavy armies will most likely destroy the army since the magic deffence is almost non existent, and the dragon riders are 1000 pts.

But 2 dragons!!! its to good to pas up...

How was the list you played?

ooo i couldnt remember if he was 2 hero slots and 1 rare or if he took up both rare slots.

The list i played was similar to yours. I added some Warhawks so i could try and deal knock out some mages. They are a bit expensive but can pay off bigtime especially since they can keep up with your 2 dragons.

The very best thing about the entire list is when your opponent sees you place one dragon. They get all ansy and kinda nervous, and then you place the second one. They almost relieve themselves in front of you. Its a great look. Asarnil's dragon is a bit better than ours (his breath weapon is much better).

I also used The Dawnspear instead of Hail of Doom. (i know almost a blasphemy not to take HoDA) It works well when you dual charge with the dragons as ALL models in that unit are -1 to hit. even if they attack Arsanil.

I would agree about getting a unit of warhawk riders. Otherwise the list looks interesting.

I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.

In my scene we don't' use special characters in general. But if I can squeeze one in a game, I'll try this idea. Great one...

Who is Asarnil the dragonlord? I've never heard of him, and I can't find him in the book.

He can be found in Regiments of Renown.
Great idea for two dragons. I thought only high elves can have 2 dragons in their 2000 points list...
