I think your list looks pretty solid! The treeman ancient also uses a rare slot, right?

About the warhawks, If I field warhawks thats is for marchblocking and shootign behind enemy lines (just pestering). If I field them I field them in units of 4. Against empire they work great, Ive never played against WoC because of their high armour saves, so extra arrows dont do much good...

    Yeah.

The list is great, and really solid. The only thing I may change would be to drop A Befuddlement of Mischiefs and take Lamentations of Despairs instead, but that's just my preference.

I've never played 2250 before so I'm not sure how the befuddlement will work, but I can always swap spites if it doesn't, so there's no worry of points there. But yeah, the warhawks do do really well against Empire, but I'm worried of their value against the other armies.. And I'd rather not spend 60 dollars on relatively useless models.

Looks like a fine list. What I would say is that when I run an ancient, I always like to use a BSB. Just makes it a little safer. I would try to increase the number of waywatchers as you are at the lower limit. As for the warhawks, sometimes they are great, sometimes they are useless. Just the nature of the beast. I usually include them in speed lists to keep up with other things. As this isn't that kind of list, I think I would leave them out.

    Good luck,

I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.

Alright, thanks for your input guys. I've never run a BSB, so how does this one look? (Hero 4) I got rid of the warhawk riders and replaced them with the BSB, and also added a shield to the alter and removed the musician from the wardancers. Depending on how well the BSB works with this, I think this is my final list. Thanks again for you help =)

Wow, Treemen Ancient with Annoyance of Nettlings in your "friendly list", hate to see what you would bring in your unfriendly list.

    HI
I like your list too and I'd like to see how it works I used TA in 2000 poins game agains DE and it went well(on the end he died on unlucky LD roll 12 and no BSB around and what was unlucky he mistfired on Shades with Assasin in forest)

But check your Army Book because you can't have one Lord and four Heroes. You can have four Heroes or one Lord and three Heroes over 2000 points game.
If you want BSB and keep HoDA you can give him Asyendi's Bane so he ll have longbow when he lost his regular one (I think this is stupid rule)

Oh my, you're right, I hadn't noticed that. I suppose I'll just try to run the list without a BSB, if I give it to the alter I feel as though he loses too much. Oh well, thanks for pointing that out.

Okay, well, because I'll mostly be fighting fairly magic light armies, especially ogres, I removed the scroll caddy and replaced her with a BSB with arcane bodkins, Asyendi's Bane, light armor, and Briarsheath, which leaves me with 33 points left over... I really have no idea where to put this other than to add a few extra models to some of my units. Any suggestions?
