Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hey i created a 2000 point army list just to play with friends (we usually allow each other 50 points extra if needed) and I just want to know how to create a good army before i go and buy a bunch of units that really dont work well together. Here is what ive decided so far, let me know any opinions or changes and thanks for looking.
General : Spellweaver
Characteristics: Level 4 wizard, Great Eagle Mount
Carries: Wand of Wych Elm
One Spell Weaver (upgraded to level two and carrying dispell scroll)
One Branchwraith (upgraded to level one and carrying cluster of radiants)
Dryads- Two units of ten men each (one in each upgraded to branch nymph)
Glade Guard - Three units of ten men (each upgraded with one lord's bowman)
Glade Guard Scout - One unit of ten men (upgraded with one lord's bowman)
Wild Riders of Kurnous - One unit of ten men (one upgraded to wild hunter and standard bearer included)
Tree Kin - One unit of three men
Let me know, and thanks again for looking

OK, to be blunt, this is not a good list. Glade riders are weak. If you want them, one unit of 5 for baiting is fine. Wild riders are expensive, but a unit this size can work ok. Having a weaver and two singers is redundant. One singer and a branchwraith for the cluster of radiants. And your weaver can only take one arcane item. I would keep the wand.
I would get yourself some treekin. A BSB is always useful now. And really, glade guard are a staple of wood elf armies.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
Thanks for the help i think this army looks better, i was just trying to allocate points towards mages in order to dispell magic because i saw my friend play someone without any way of dispelling magic and he got destroyed way too easy.
And one more thing? Why can only one of the items be arcane magic items if he can carry anything up to 100 points? Can any characters carry arcane items or only lords?
He was asking why he couldn't have a staff and a scroll. The answer is because you can only have 1 type of each item, the staff and scroll each being arcane items. It's also why we can't have a Highborne with an Enchanted shield, Adamantine armor, and a helm of the hunt (2+/4++ save). Mind you, I think that's an upwards of 95 points, but still you can't do it cause there're 3 magical armors there, even though they're all different armor types.
I can however have a Highborn on an Eagle with Light Armor, Spear, Bow of Loren, Arcane Bodkins, Glamoreweave, and an Enchanted Shield, which is actually 100 points of magic items on the dot.
Level 4 spellweavers with a wand of Wych Elm are amazing dispellers because they add 4 and can reroll their dice, which gives you more of a chance given how few dispell dice you actually get now. Actually, last game I was in, I got an auto dispell on a roll I had almost no chance to dispelling thanks to the Wand.
40k: Silver Angels of Our Martyred Lady 7/2/3 - Daemons of the Great Squiggle! 3/1/0
Fantasy: Windhost of Athel'Loren 2/0/0 - Daemons of Another Great Squiggle! 0/0/0
Warmahordes: Legion of Everblight (Absylonia)
Oh ok that makes a more sense, arcane magic items didnt seem more than a category of items but thanks for the explanation with the magic armors, i guess it wouldnt make sense to have more than one of those either.
