This is my first list for 1000pts with the new rules. I will be versing lizardmen and dwarfs with it I think.
Spellweaver lvl 4 250
additional hand weapon 249
20 Glade Guard
musician and Lord Bowman 252
6 waywatchers 144
Any tips on changes will be most welcom and also tactics to use.
Can someone just say if the list is good please. And if not what is wrong with it.
Decent list. Split the archers into two groups. Drop the heroes for more troops. Maybe keep one with the hail of doom without a kindred.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
Thanks for the tips but I have to ask why split the archers because with the new rules I can shoot with two ranks and get more attacks in close combat if it comes down to that.
with 2 units you can shot at 2 diffrent targets wich is good and you should never get GG into combat since they cant do nothing just die. I dont link WD in this edition so I should try to get 3 treekins instead of the nobel and the WD unit.
Ok so new list is
lvl 4 Spellweaver
Additional Hand weapon
10 GG + M and LB x2
3 tree kin
Is this a good list?
I'm sorry if this is a stupid question.. but are you really allowed to have a lord in a 1000 point army..? According to my Wood Elf army book you may have a max of 3 Heroes and 0 Lords if it is under 2000 points... Or was that changed in 8th edition..?
Sorry if I'm being stupid.. Only just started up again after not playing for ages and I only played one match under 8th ediion..
The page for army selection in the army book no longer applies - you go solely by the BRB. Check the FAQ for WE on this.
But it would be very risky to take a Lord in 1000pts. And since everyone can do it...it's not necessarily overpowering.
Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.Originally Posted by amishcellphone

Yeh. A wood elf Spellweaver with Lore of beasts is amazing. It can turn itself into a dragon and any other large beast. If succesful it does a lot of damage.
