HI! I am a really new warhammer player, but I have made a armylist that I thought whould be pretty fun to play, (and to look at). I dont care to much about winning or losing...
Even thought I dont really care about the outcome of the games, I still want to have a chans
So here is my list, if any of you want to take a look at it I whould be greatfull:
Spellweaver lvl 4 - Mounted with Wytch Elm and glamoureweave
Highborn - Lightarmour, Bow of loren, starfire/bodkin arrows and amarthine brooch
Spellsinger lvl 1- Dispellscroll
Glade Guards 40 4*10 All with musicians, 1 with full command Highborn in there.
Gladeriders 8 Maybe full command, depends on the situation
Tree kin 4
Warhawk riders 3
I might bring in another treeman and some more archers, but I personally dont like the shooty army setup...
And btw, can a lvl 2 spellsinger cast from the lore of life?
Anyone have anyother ideas to what I could do with the rest of the points?

Hi mate nice to see you on the forums!
I saw your post from earlier that got a lot of responses, Ill try to help you out here:
Spellweaver lvl 4 - Mounted with Wytch Elm and glamoureweave - make this the 4+ward item.
Highborn - Lightarmour, Bow of loren, starfire/bodkin arrows and amarthine brooch - Use Bodkin arrows vs high armour enemies with low toughness (elves and humans). Use Starfire arrows against Horde armies with low leaderships (goblins/skaven).
Spellsinger lvl 1- Dispellscroll - I wouldnt bother with a spellcaddy, because the magic from this guy is very weak now.
Glade Guards 40 4*10 All with musicians, 1 with full command Highborn in there. - good
Gladeriders 8 Maybe full command, depends on the situation - These guys are now widely known as the worst wood elf unit, they cant hurt anything and cost LOTS, can you get 16 more dryads or Glade Guards? Glade Guard is my preference here.
Dryads 12 - try and put these into multiple groups of 8, they are suicide unit now, that strike first in most cases but pack a punch.
Tree kin 4 - you want these guys in units of 6 or 8. If £££ cost is an issue, you can do some nice cheap conversions using Dryad models and lots of arms..
Wadancers 19 - These guys arnt as good as they once were because of skirmishing rules, and you have no ranks. If you do want to use them, put them in smaller units 6-8 models per unit. I would try using just One unit of 7, and put the other points into Maxing out Treekin.
Warhawk riders 3 - Some people like these, but I find I can use the points more efficiently else where. I find they are quite weak can can be easy Victory point for the enemy. Good for hunting warmachines if deployed well..
Treeman - I love these guys, think of them as road blocks / 360 degree pillar boxes rather than damage dealers. Let the enemy charge you so you can Fire and Shoot with Strangle roots first.
Remove Glade Riders
Spend points into Treekin>Gladeguard>Treemen.
Also you need a character with the Hail of Doom Arrow somewhere, it is amazing.

- Wood Elves + Orcs & Goblins since 2009 -
Highborn - Lightarmour, Bow of loren, starfire/bodkin arrows and amarthine brooch - Just noticed, this guy could be an Alter Kindred which would give him movement 9, Init 9 and an extra attack. So you would have 5 shots with the bow. Downside is he cant join units.
- Wood Elves + Orcs & Goblins since 2009 -
Thanks for the thoughts on my list.
I have alleady alterd the wardsave on the mage. Giving her a 4+ ward at all times.
The highborn and the arrows is there becouse I will at most times face of against scaven and I wanted the "panic arrow".
The spellsinger is in the army in case of something really badhappens to my mage (I still want to be able to cast some spells...) And I feel nakes without a dispellscroll. I dont wanna lose a game coz of lack of dispell dices once...
The riders are in there coz I wanted the mage mounted and need a unit for her, or just to bait with.
The war dancers are such a big number becouse I like the model and the flank tactic with them.
I thought the warhawks was going to be usefull against warmachines or lone mages, but I can be wrong.
Might get another treeman or some treekin for the extra points, but as I said I dont like the shooty wood elf armys, I want to prove that the woods got some powerpunches to!
The £££ isnt the major problem, but I am interested in convertions, so I got a question, were can I find some good guides and stuff for convertions, I want my army to be unic! thx!
