Welcome to Librarium Online!
Thanks a lot for taking the time and reading this. I need help in fighting against Artillery, horde units, and steam engines. I do have 12 more Dryads on the way and 7 more Glide riders coming. Not a big fan of treemen or tree kin units. I would greatly appreciate all info and tips including how to build my HQ and what items to buy for them. Also tips on what units i should buy also would be nice also, wanna get this army tourny ready. Thanks again.

You pretty much won't be winning any tournament games at 2k if you aren't taking a treeman and a unit of treekin.
What would I replace with treeman and treekin? and how many units
Well what i've found, and i'm fairly sure is the general consensus amongst WE generals, is that Wardancers are basically a waste of points in 8th. As are glade riders.
Wild riders have rarely worked for me, also. THey're just too expensive for what they do.
In 'competative' games (read: non-friendly's) I always run at least one treeman, and a unit of 6 treekin. Always. They tear the board up. Then i finish out with a lot of glade guard and a lvl 4 life weaver with the wand.
Lastly, i find that HoDA is too hit and miss and spellsingers aren't really much use.
You are rocking my world RF09, lol. So basically change my army since they made lots of units bad. So what my army should consist of is Treekin, way watchers, glade guard, and spell weaver. Wish i would of known, would have not wasted so much money on weak units. Thanks for the tips.
So if i were to go beyond 2k I would just keep adding treekin then it seems. Since the only viable core units are glade guard .
Dryads are ok.. And you really should have a treeman.. Waywatchers are too exensive for what they do. They get one shot each that most likelly hits.. but strength 3 means that the targets you are aiming for demands a killing blow 6... and they have no saves so they are easy pickings for anyone who wants to take them out.
Yeah 8th edition is all about as many Glade guard and treekin and treemen as you can fit on the board.
My usual list for 2500 points is
6 units of 11-13 glade guard
A unit of 6 or so treekin
treeman ancient upgrade or two
and a lifeweaver.
Lots of trees, backed up by life magic and mass amounts of bs4/str4 shots. Its the only way to go, and it will never fail on you if played right.
firstly your fighting dwarfs so to have a hatred for treemen and treekin is going to cause you probs streight away the trick with dwarfs is firstly high toughness units wich elves are not you need to concider wich phazes you can dominate the shooting phaze is a no dwarfs will out shoot you so take enough that your shooting will act as enough support to be an anoyance to your aponent, magic you can although the likely hood is the dwarf player will shut you down for the most part that leeves your CC wich you can dominate treekin treemen and dryads will do this for you as for warmachine hunting this depends how good a player the dwarf is becouse unless he has his artillary spred out it will be very difficult to get to them this is where waywatchers can have there use 1 small unit of 7 can take out artillary and will probably have a better chance than just eagles on there own wich will be dead on arrival ovcorse its a points sink once the waywatchers are dead and they will probably die but if you take a cannon out with these guys its less a cannon destroying your treeman or treekin etc the way i would use them would be to deploy them in such a way that you can get a charge on an artillary peace remember they get 2 attacks each they can melee a crew quite easily then in next turn shoot some killing blows at another target it is possible to wreak havoc with dwarf artillary with these guys but really risky as to weather it goes in your favor anyway maybe something you can try, food for thawt.
That's some pretty good advice Elordan. A little late to the party maybe (this thread was dead for over 3 months), so remember to check out the dates on preceding posts. Try to run a spell check too, if you have one available. The lack of punctuation/capitalization, and misspellings made your post a little tough to read, especially to our users who don't speak English as a first language.
