    2500 List friendly advice please!

    Hey all,

I've been building up my wood elves army and I thought 2500 points would be a good stopping point, being probably the highest point value my friends and I will play. My primary enemies are dark+high elves, warriors of chaos, and tomb kings. Basically I wanted to hear what some wood elves vets have to say about the list, as far as mechanics and strategy, maybe any small adjustments I could make. Thanks in advance.

Alter Highborne- Briarsheath, BoL, arcane bodkins, shield-258
Lifeweaver (general)- Lvl4, wand of wych elm, tal of preservation-350
Alter Noble- Great weapon, light armor+shield, HoDA-140
Noble on Eagle- HoH, wildfire blades, Shield, strength pot-179

19 GG- musician+standard, flaming banner (bunker for weaver)
    10 GG
    10 GG
    8 Dryads
    8 Dryads

    6 Treekin

    Treeman
    8 Waywatchers

Basically, I want to use my treeman as my main anvil, and my two dryad units and the treekin as hammers. I plan to have the alter highborne parked in a wood to pick off flanking calvary, the eagle noble hunting for bolt throwers, and the other alter used for flanks/rear attacks to support my treeman. Am I too character heavy? I liked the idea of having characters fill strategic roles such as assassins and warmachine hunters because the models are inexpensive compared to whole units. Any strategic support/detail changes is more than welcomed, thanks everyone!

The big unit of 19 GG is going to be easier for your opponents to catch. You may want to put a champion in that unit in case of challenges.

Musicians in your other GG units would help if you need to do quick reforms.

The Alter Noble can shoot up to 18 arrows if you roll all sixes on the turn you use the HoDA, or the noble can shoot three arrows in that turn. You could have another unit of ten GG and a musician and have points left over for the same cost as the noble. Or you could drop the kin and use the points to make your noble a BSB.

I must agree with Sidewinder about the musicians and the bunker unit. I disagree with him about HoDA. It is imo one of the best items in the WE army book. I don't know if a treeman is viable as an anvil, never tried it. If you face Cannons or bolt thowers against you, all your alters and treeman are dead before you reach the warmachines. Your alters have 0 warsaves so a hit of a cannonbal is a certain death. in combat they wont do much either. the toughness of noble's is only 3 so even skaven slaves will beat him in 1 or 2 rounds.

I must say i like the concept of this list, except that the charachters have 0 saves
