    [2000] Wood Elves---> Elven List

Along with the battalion box (the bigger one?) I'll be getting quite a few units of elves, and I think that WE will be the army I'll build up to 4000-5000 pts (3 armies, 1 spirit, 1 elves, and a whole mix). This would be the list I would shoot for:

    Lords & Heroes

    Highborn 251 pts
    Great Weapon, Long Bow,
    Rhymer's Harp, Annoyance Of Netlings

    Noble 140 pts
    Wardancer Kindred, Blades Of Loec

    Spellsinger 140 pts
    2 Dispell Scrolls

    Core

    18 Eternal Guard 259 pts
    Standard, Musician
    Warbanner

    17 Eternal Guard 222 pts
    Standard, Musician

    10 Glade Guard 126 pts
    Musician

    10 Glade Guard 126 pts
    Musician

    5 Glade Riders 129 pts
    Musician

    5 Glade Riders 129 pts
    Musician

    Special

    3 Warhawk Riders 120 pts

    5 Wardancers 97 pts
    Musician

    6 Wardancers 115 pts
    Musician

    Rare

    6 Waywatchers 144 pts

    Total 1998
    Models 88
    Dispell Dice 3+2 Scrolls

    Any Thoughts or comments?

    Best Regards,
    Wolf_Pack

any one that takes more than one Wizard agenst you will be a major pain for you. my 2000pt high elf list has a lvl 4 arch mage with book of hoath and two lvl 2 mages (cant remmber off the top of my head what they have other than they can pick there spells) so you will more than likly go through thoughs scrolls like rum cakes. thats the only real issue i see with your list the only reason i think it should be addressed is you dont need to roll to hit with magic missiles so a wiz on foot will be a big problem for most WE armys IMHO (takeing out march blocking units will be a brezze)

I think it's a pretty solid list. Why no wild riders?

Wild Riders are more Spirit than elves IMO, but I could slap a unit in, loosing the waywatchers or a unit of wardancers ?

I have 3 units that can fetch mages as early as second turn, I still have 2 scrolls to contein magic untill they do.

He doesn't really need wild riders (nor would it fit with his theme) because he already has two units of glade riders and three warhawk riders, which should be enough to effectively flank/bait/break units.

I thought as much, although a fear causing unit that can hit hard is always a good thing...

I was thinking in general, why not include them. For instance, by dropping a unit of glade riders and squeezing out the two points for model somewhere else.

My glade rideres have been toast against armies with missile fire. Maybe I'm getting to jumpy with them.

I can loose the glade rider unit and a signle waywatcher this will put me at 1993 pts.

But when you think of it, 6 won't do any diference with one 10 US, they won't break them from fear.
I could loose 1 unit of wardancers, they might be hard to protect without any dryads and pump up the Wild riders?

I could try it without them as well.
