the tactics seem pretty straitforward, try to get my waywatchers in a good position to march block and take out any warmachines, lone mages, etc. my warhawks main purpose is to kill off mages in units and attack warmachines. my first targets are always mages, warmachines, and any shooting unit, followed by any cav and skirmishers(not to many where i play for some reason). once i take out their shooting or magic its usualy pretty one sided, unless they have alot of the other. i just run circles around them wittling them down till i get a good charge oppertunity. do they just need to learn some new tactics or is my list just to strong? i usualy play kohrn(pushover) brets(only challenging opponent) ogers(only regular opponent, pushover under 2000 but starting to get good) and zombie pirates(he's just starting pirates, still has his counts but likes pirates). everyone else i used to play flat out refuse to play my elves.
information IS power
I don't think there's anything that extraordinary about your list. If they won't play it, then they should be prepared to not play any list that doesn't have eternal guard in it. Wait until they face a treeman; they'll be due for some serious whinging at that point.
Sounds to me like you're just outplaying them and that they don't know what to do against a skirmishing/mobile force. I have a buddy who runs the Storm of Chaos Clan of Eshin army, and it's a real pain in the butt since he rarely gets into any combat with it. He just runs around pelting people with slings and pulling off assassinations when he can. But he usually doesn't do better than a draw because he can't pull out the victory points without combat. For you, you can get enough VPs for winning.
Really, I'd tell them to go online and check out the lists people are posting on the boards and then tell you what's so unusual about yours. Some people would even criticize, perhaps fairly, your list for designating so many points to character slots and for not having any glade guard.
The power and dispel dice are at the upper limits of acceptability before you're moving into cheese range, but your regular opponents should be able to counter it if they chose.
iv got so many mages more for dispell purposes more than to attack the enemy, hence the staff being the only semi offensive item on the mages(dont consider spites items). with this list i always worry a LOT about magic defence as a couple of spells could cripple my army with so few models with so little durability(especialy with autohitting magic missles that negate pretty much all my armys saves) the power dice are just a plus

I agree with $DavidVC04. The list isn't that outstanding in anty respect other than the high power dice. I have that many in my 2k list but that is VC and they need it to have any chance. I don't see how its cheesy, With no Eternal Guard or Treemen??? Your oppionents suck. find new ones.
When life gives you lemons, shut up and eat your damn lemons.
Yeah, lol, your opponents probably just don't like having to deal with skrimishers, but that doesn't make the list cheesy. I would say most WE list would be pretty similar. Once they begin to discover the weaknesses of skirmishers and how best to play against WEs they will realise that your list is in fact not cheesy
....He is coming for YOU....
"Master Bungle is right" - Stonehambey
"Get out of my house Master Bungle!" - Victim
the list looks good to me, very powerful magic, like that. Don't know what your opponents are babbling about. Now if you had TWO TREEMAN, then i'd say..... ye. A bit cheesy. find ypurself new opponents indeed.
Good Hunting! 9(if you find a opponent)
