So yeah, after playing brets for going on 7 years now I decided its time for a change, and chose wood elves for their beautiful models and interesting fighting style. The list I'm about to show is by no means ready for a real fight as I'm new to the elves and how they work but I'd like to get an army ready for my clubs tournement.
anyway onto the list:
Wardancer highborn – 255
Blades of loec, a murder of spites
Lvl 1 spell singer –
2x dispel scrolls
Lvl 2 spell singer – 175
1x dispel scroll, a cluster of radiants
Alter noble – 132
Sword of striking, light armour
Glade guard (10) –
Glade guard (10) –
Glade riders (5) –
Glade riders (5) -
Wardancer troupe (9) –
Wardancer troupe ( –
Warhawk riders (4) –
Waywatchers (9) –
Please be as brutally honest as you need be to get this list into a fighting machine.
Remember limits are: No trees and no blocks of rank unless they are neccessary.
Thanks for future C&C.
EDIT: Some point totals removed. Please do not post totals that could reveal per item / model cost. Thanks. ~DavidVC04.

Ok the list isn't really my playing style but i still think it looks not bad. My changes would probably be..
Giving the wardancer lord the moonstone of the hidden ways is a good idea, this is really useful for getting a powerful combat unit to where they are needed most (and getting them out of trouble if necessary) it all depends on the terrain you usually play with but i still thinks it's a good bet.
I would personally drop the waywatchers done to 5 or out completely i like my waywatchers but they are very expensive and can get wiped out quite easily but here i think it is just a personal preference.
Eternal Guard are extremely useful being a powerful fighting unit with ranks, a good tactic is to keep some skirmishers as flank guards for them (this is what i like dryads for T4 and 5+ ward being good for stopping overruns etc.).
Now here is where the noble can be changed about putting the noble in with the eternal guard gives them stubborn at leadership 9 (which has annoyed my opponents on many an occasion) also as your army is led by a highborn they count as core choices which i always found good (don't know if it's particularly relevant sorry!!). On the other hand giving your alter kindred noble the amber pendant and a great weapon means he can be quite a powerful force on his own (s6 3attacks striking first ).
I would maybe take away 1 dispel scroll and take away the warhawks for some wild riders (as you have a good amount of mobile shooting already) meaning you can have a unit which has some punch on the charge (as they cause fear).
I apologise for the ramble (didn't realise it was so long) and any mistakes i may have made and i hope this will be of some use to you.
All the best

Yes but i think kneecaps are allowed"
I like the list. It looks like you don't wnat big blocks of troops. Firstly replace the Highborn's murder for annoyance, also the spellsinger cannot have a cluster of radiiants. Drop it for a 2nd magic level. also I would completely drop the waywatchers for another glade rider in each unit and another squad of 10 GG. Also I would drop the wind rider for 2 musicians. GL
I really like your army list but it is far from a killing machine. When your far from 2000 pts and you have a level 1 wiz you make it a level 2. Also when you plan on baiting and fleeing because wood elves have to you make sure every unit that can have a musician has one, you certainly have the points for them. Now small cavalry units are best at 6 so add one 2 each unit and scrap the warhawk rider champion 1 extra attack for 20pts. Maybe if you have the pts add a great eagle just put him in the middle of the enimies army march block watch out for things that will take him out.
I'd drop wind rider and shadow sentinel for musicians on the glade riders and glade guard (a must if you want to flee).
I'd add an eagle. A cheap and useful rare unit.
I'd comment more, but it's late for me.
If you have the pts get musicians into ur wardancers they only haveaverage leadership the plus 1 on rallying will help them regroup.
