Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hi!i was wonderin if someone could check and comment my list please. I'll be playin mostly against Tomb Kings armies (ocasionally against Skaven and Empire)
Eternal Guard Noble
+ Elynett Brooch
11 Eternal Guard (including musician and champ)
+ Murder of Spites
+ Lvl 1 Wizard
10 Glade Guard
6 Wild Riders
Should i include a spellsinger instead of noble/branchwraith (main opponent --> tomb kings)?
Against TK, should i replace the scouts for a glade guard unit?
I don't think you should bother with the eternal guard at all. 11 is too few to help IMO.
If you want a good fighting unit, I'd say use wardancers instead. They're more mobile and actually kill more than EG. They just don't get ranks and a standard.
humm....thats a good point of view
how about this: instead of Noble+11 EG:
1 noble wardancer
+ Blades of Loec
6 wardancers with musician?
I like that better. It's the same thing with my vampire army. Grave Guard are their elite fighting unit (of course, EG are WE's only ranked, fighting unit), but I just don't take less than 20, which means I don't take them at all under 1500 pts. For EG I'd say take 3 ranks of either 5 or 6.
Anyhow, I love wardancers. They're my favorite unit for combat, even more than dryads. Their different dances make them really versatile and being ItP they don't run off if they get shot up.
And Wardancer characters can be really great, too.
Some people don't recommend a musician, but I've had mine run from combat and that unit's too expensive and valuable in game play to not see rally.
I even take a champion if I have the points (though my current list doesn't use one). That third attack can become a fourth attack with that one dance, which means a pile of dice to drop on your enemies.
how about the spellsinger?do you think it will be more useful against TK than the noble/branchwraith?
The tk players use, in a 1000 pts match, one Tomb prince and 1 Liche Priest (both of them). Should i be worried about their magic phase??
Ugh, in my experience, you should always be worried about tomb kings magic, but at 1000 pts it shouldn't be so bad.
An alter noble (shield, lt armor, great weapon, helm of the hunt, hail of doom arrow is my prefferred combo) is a great assassin if you want to take out the priest.
In the list I'm using now, I largely ignore magic, both offensively and defensively. I use two alters, a highborn and a noble, along with the warhawks to try and take out magic.
well...i have the eagle for that purpose....its very useful, specially if the liche priest has the cloak of dunes:wacko:
The scouts can take him out too, if the player isnt carefull
Are you suggesting that i should replace the wardancer noble for a "normal" noble?
umm isnt a great weapon a two handed wepaon making it illegal to combine it with a shield? An alter noble (shield, lt armor, great weapon, helm of the hunt, hail of doom arrow is my prefferred combo) is a great assassin if you want to take out the priest.
Smite the enemy, thank the aillies!
