wiht my birthday and a large sum of gamesworkshop credit coming my way i decided to beff up my wood elves so that they are at the same stage as my highelves.

wood elf noble
annoyance of netlings
clsuter of radiants
10 glade gaurd
10 glade gaurd
5 glade riders
19 eteranl gaurd
so what do you think
birthdays are great. I like your characters, wardancer boble should kick butt and the BSBI assume goes with your EG, which makes them pretty formidable. It looks like a solid list. Though I am one of about two people who don't like the treeman but eh. I would only say that it would be good to put a musician in the wardancer units if possible. not too many points and it could save you a great deal.
if you did end up dropping that treeman...you could give your self another unit of glade guard
hope this helps some
hey thanks for your advice. yeah initialy I had musicinas in all of my units just because they are so useful for there price but i have very litle in the ways of points. The treeman i figured was going to be used to protect the flank of the eternal guard or vice versa as both are sutbborn . Basicly one gets charged and the other one hits them in the flank. The treeman was also put in there to hold up any absolutly devastating units (Oie chosen chaso knights, althoug it is fun to shoot em with the higborn and have them ask what the armour save modifyer is.) Dunno though If I dropped it I could get another 10 glade gaurd plus a unit of wild riders?
the way i see it, wardancers and dryads are much better at attcking the flanks of someone you are fighting. that way they can't flank you -your's are skirmishers- so if you have your EG take the charge, you counter with ex: wardancers charging their flank then they can't get a flank bonus from charging your wardancers. at least i believe that is how the rules would say.
the treeman is a great unit, i just don't like its style, most everyone loves him. *shrugs* it is just style of play i guess.
about the musicians: they are usefull but in most many units like your GG, it is nice to have if you have the points but i would say don't worry about it if you don't have the pts. but for a unit of wardancers, they will be in CC and you don't want them to lose combat by 1 and get run down. Again if you can't find the points it isn't too bad, but musicians are much more usefull in units like wardancers than others IMO.
As for the rest of the list, it seems fairly solid, though personally I'd drop the Eternal Gard in favour of Wild Riders and more Wardancers/Dryads. I think it'll just make your list that little bit more versatile. Other than that, it's pretty good. But only with the Treeman .

haha treemen lol. yeah they are good, i just don't like them. personally i do love EG. So far I've only seen good things with them, but they need to have a noble in them and full command to be most effective. and of course with dryads or wardancers and flankers with them!
LONG LIVE THE ELVES!!! CUT DOWN THE TREES!!! jk jk
i will just try it wiht and without the treeman and see what works better. (although i still do love it when my treeman aceint held up archaon and a unit of 10 chosen knights the whole game :shifty: )
