Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hi, I'm a budding Wood Elf general and have about 1300 points so far. I am having problems with choosing characters for my 2000 point force. My first dilemma is that I would really like to take a highborn on great stag simply because it is such an awesome model and it is very fluffy. But i would also like to have a highborn with a great weapon to throw in my big 30 man eternal guard unit. So which would you take and what would you equip it with? Also, what other characters do you recommend?
If you're going to run eternal guard give them a highborn w/rhymer's harp, AoN and Great Weapon.
You'll need a BSB too.
I think in general the highborn isn't worth the points. You don't need the leadership and the extra attack isn't really worth it.
A noble on a great stag could be a lot of fun though. You'd want him in a unit of wild riders and the dawnspear would be a good choice.
Hi and welcome.
Some standard character set ups are:
Scroll Caddy: Level 1 Spellsinger, 2 Dispel Scrolls
Branchwraith, Level 1 upgrade, Cluster of Radients,
Standard Alter, Noble Alter Kin, Greatweapon, light armour, shield, helm of the hunt, hail of doom arrows.
Wardancer, noble with moonstone of hidden ways.
Wardancers, blades of loec.
Have a look through the army lists for other ideas.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.

This might help you out a bit!
If anybody disagrees with me Chuck Norris will roundhouse kick you in the face.....not really. But wouldn't it be cool?
