Mayan skin tones, Blue for banners/accents on nobles, red for accents on commands, Red/white/green feathers for the spots where ive added feathers from lizardman bits.

Im trying to get a shot of my alter kindred, as hes about the best example so far.

Ya, some pics would be very cool. My EG are almost finished. All but the two standard bearers are done. D-O-N-E. (I spent a long, long time with them...ugh). I'll post pics today.

I have chosen for summer, though I don't think it really is. I don't really paint in a seasonal way. Mostly I use greens like goblin green/snot green and reddisch browns like darkflesh/bestial browns. I think it's a mix of summer and spring. I use the browns for the leather and the greens for the leaves.
Now, I am still thinking about something: Am I the only one here that paints his lords/heroes far better than the normal soldiers? I like to let the lords and heroes to stand out.

Nice work, jak3dude. I commented over on your blog, but it's very good for a first model. I look forward to seeing more of the army.

@MobiusPrime: I like how the night elves are turning out. Can't really see detail too well from non-close ups but it looks good!

I've decided to paint (most) of my army in a "Wildwood" theme. Dryads and half my glade guard are Summer/Spring themed. But in the fluff Many elves get lost to the part of the wood "nobody dares go" and its a darker/wild place. I figured it might be fun. Thats why I chose "Other"

The scheme involves lots of dark colors, darker greens/reds/browns with some purples, along with darker metalics. The idea is that the wood elves who lost themselves to the wildwood formed their own Kinband to fight.

Neoned, it sounds very cool. Have you seen the projects forum? You could post pics there. If you don't want to post an entire project, just post some finished pics here or to the showcase.

I always love seeing other people's takes on wood elves.

I havent got a wood elf army (YET!!) but ive done some test models and im going to go for a mainly summer theme (in terms of the greens and browns to use) but mainly they will be a homage to the old Mike McVeigh woodies- im planning on use ice blue tunics with a white and scarlet band of alternate triangles.
