Do wildriders (forest spirits) stack the Talismanic Tattoos ward save atop their forest spirit ward save? I know that normally this is not allowed - BUT i distinctly recall reading something about this saying it is ok to stack these for 4+ WS - is this correct or am i confused?
I believe you are confused. I have never seen it said that they could be stacked, and I think it would be illogical.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
Youre confused, no Word saves stack. The Tattoo one if just for use against magical attacks, when the Spirit one is disallowed.
Phoenix is correct, you use the tattoo when your forest spirit ward save cant be used (ie against magical attacks)
and remember you can only use one of the ward saves when saving against wounds not both
The Talismanic ward save may not be much but often it's the only thing you have left after being hit by magical attacks.
Besides, you occassionally get those events when you roll 3 saves out of the 5 you take.
Just to echo everyone, just one ward save. Either 6 or 5, but not both and not both together. I sure wish we could stack them, but alas, it isn't so.
I'm kinda glad they don't. I mean, people moan about us enough as it is. Think of how annoying that would get if our heavy hitters hat a 4++ Save.
It doesn't matter what we do, they still complain.
