Welcome to Librarium Online!
In a game I had I cast "wolf hunts" on a tree kin unit (last from the lore of beasts). It states it may only be cast on swarms, chariot, (nothing usefull here...) cavalry and monsters. Per the RBR, they are not monsters but "ogre-size" or whatever.
Nevertheless, the wood elf tactica of librarium online confirms it can be cast on treekins!?!
I conclude it cannot be cast on them since the tactica is not official but it would make sense to cast wolf hunt on treekins.
What do you think...
Regrettably I think I would have to call them as being "ogre sized" and not being able to be affected by the spell. They're on ogre sized bases and not noticeably bigger than ogres right? The unit strength section of the rules makes me think this way but maybe the author of the tactica had an experience or found a ruling that proved otherwise.
There's a chapter in the rulebook dedicated to monsters, showing it rotates without penalty, etc... It doesn't apply to treekin... Very sad :C
P.S.: By the way the tactica has been updated... no treekin for wolf hunts :'(

I updated it lastnight after doing some checking.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
Nice catch with the tactica.
True monsters can't join units. You never see two dragons forming a single unit, or two Treemen. Unless ridden by a character, a monster can't join a unit.
Anyhow, we'll start working on the final WE tactica this next week. Thanks for all the help with it. It's proof of concept that community-driven texts benefit from that collectivity.
It can affect Monstrous Mounts yes, but not their riders. Unless the rider is also a monster, or a swarm, or something.. lol.
