Hey being new to the gaming side of this hobby. I was wondering if the battle for skull pass box would be any good to a wood elves player. Obviously their are no WE bits, but can I use any of it. The box is about the same as the rule book in price... So can I get away with just the little rule book?
you can probably sell the armies and just keep the book.
I use the same book, to my knowledge it's the same as the big one. only smaller.
please correct me if I'm wrong.
The rule book is the same as far as the rules go. It doesn't have the stuff in the back of the hard cover rule book. Painting stuff and fluff that you don't need to play the game.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
Yeah, I think the Battle for Skull Pass is a wicked deal. on top of the rule book, you get the dice and measuring sticks too. And all the fluff and hobby material in the big rule book is at most, read-once material. So go for the Battle of Skull Pass, ebay the armies, save yourself some money.
Yeah, keep the book and dice. Trade or sell the rest. You may not get much for the figures, but it's something.
I like the smaller book because it's lighter and, well, smaller. Not so clumsy and big on the tabletop when you're gaming.
I was thinking of flicking off the stuff I dont want but possibly keeping the dwarfs as a second army for friends to play against me with. Dwarfs and Wood Elves seem natural opposition.
