alright , i am completely new to Wood elves and have jsut recently started warhammer so give me some leeway
i have tried making this list and i want to know if ya guys think it will work knowing how this army does in battle
i plan on usign the sisters on the dragon running it up the middle...hoping it will cause tons of damage and grabbing alot of attention...then use 2 treemen either as flanks or middle cushion depening on the army...then 4 units of 10 glade gaurd to weaken untis as they are manuvoring....then the wardancers (4 units of 5 and one lord with wardancer kin) come up as the other army tries to surrond the dragon or use them to flank and come from behind
Interestign tactic mate. Just remember you can only have 1 lord in 2000pts.
Are for your tactics, it sounds good, but your lacking even the minor defence against magic.
4 units of wardancers, seem very gusty, that can either pay off, or be a bit of a disater. As most people tned to run units of 7/8 wardancers. but try it out and see how it works.
good luck mate.
p.s. sisters are ok. not the best special character. I would try a lord on dragon if that doesnt work out. he can be cheaper, and slightly better in combat.
Sunday 20th July Wood Elves vs. Brettonians
Mission: Flank Attack (Brettonians attacking)
Score: Wood Elves - 4181
Brettonians - 0
Gah, lost my post *grumbles incessantly*
I'd add a few things:
1) More wardancers. As said before, make the units bigger, around 7-8, and maybe add a Champion to each unit. You will REALLY grow to hate shooting.
2) An Alter Noble or two. I've found that they can complement Wardancers real well, plus they're one of those "never leave home without" units.
3) A Spellsinger. Give her a couple of scrolls, and you should be able to hold off the very worst spells, minimisingf the enemy's Magic Phase.
4) An Eagle or two, if you're feeling unscrupulous.
It's an interesting idea, that has potential to work very well. Give it a little tweaking, and it should do fine.
Might work but im skeptical.
Also how many points is this army???
Given his 1 Lord, 2 rare and 4 Special choices, I'd guess 2K.
it is a 2250 list
